When she finds him, it’s in his own home, elaborated decorated with memories at every inch, enough to make the rooms feel small, nauseous even. He’s somewhere between dreaming his fourth and fifth memoir when she interrupts, bad timing and more cruel in intention than she means.

This is the one place he keeps apart from the rest, where reality comes to die and fallacy relives to live instead. When she begins dreaming with him, it is no longer his dreamscape that she steps into, but rather a place that holds that much more: the chambers of his heart arranged neatly as the floors to a home no longer a home.

When she comes here, she arrives at the center of everything he’s thought to hide.

“Why are you,” He opens his mouth and the dream drowns out it’s noises, afraid of his anger, afraid of him. “...here.” His words cut through, his voice a knife. “You’re not supposed to be here, of all places. You’re overstepping and thinking you’re so much more than you really are; you of all people, that possibly be standing here, of all places --” 

“Yeoreum.” 

He says her name then, and his voice is level: it twists the knife. “You need to leave, before we both do things we regret.”
