oh wow ok, good choice! yes i do like them (which probs means it’s doomed but whatever i’ll get on with it now.)

The light from the morning bleeds through the window. It spills in, bright and warm, like a cleansing wave washing the darkness away. She holds her hand up and watches the beams fracture through the gaps of her fingers. Althea smiles when a warm hand closes over hers entwining their fingers together. The rings on his worn fingers bite into her skin - but the feeling is so familiar and welcome to her that she knots their hands together even more.

He’d come in some time that night, bringing the cold in behind him. She doesn’t know if she really can smell blood, the echo of gunshots, or if that’s what she has taught herself to expect. He’d gone into the bathroom to shower before he’d crawled in beside her, the weight of him blanketing over her tightly and reassuringly. The sickly bathroom light illuminated her gun and badge on the bedside table. She had swallowed back bitterly - it was like the objects judged her. She had shoved them in the draw with a huff. Earlier that night she had held them up against a thief, a criminal. And now she hid them from one. She sees how he slung his leather down in a way that covered that grim patch and knows he’s doing the same thing for her.

In the morning, that is all forgotten. They had been tired and bruised and far away - but he had held her when they slept. She wasn’t used to that - the way he wrapped his entire frame around her, like he was trying to shield them both from the outside world. Now though, he holds her hands above her head and she memorises his scars. There’s something comforting - something basic in the act. There is a sudden, thundering sense of trust in her. Not for the sons of anarchy member. Not for the patch. Just of the man. When she trails her hand over his skin, his tattoos feel no different when she closes her eyes. It was all the same, it was all him. 

She thinks how strange it is for them to hide parts of themselves in order to reveal who they truly were. He liked to say how they were similar - how they both had weapons, both had their versions of badges. All she could think about was how they were usually on different sides of the tape. She chooses instead to ignore all those things. They were nothing, they were dust, they belonged to the outside, belonged to the night. This was the morning, and they moved in sync together. There lives crossed and intersected and opposed each other - but not now, not here. Not in those brief morning hours after he got home and before she left. After he put down his weapon and before she picked up hers.

The morning was their symmetry, this was their neutral ground. And against the chill of the outside, she clung to it with an angry ferocity that made him smile.

i actually don't like ice cream that much?? like it's great and all but i'm not a giant fan and so i generally tend to just get like a strawberry sundae once a year from dairy queen

i'm currently wearing green plaid flannel pants and they're the best thing that's ever happened to me

I can understand this. I chopped my hair off once & was like AHH WHERES MY HAIR? But yeah, perhaps your holiday is just making you feel a little lax. I enjoy holidays myself but after a while I get restless…

i built my way up to having it short for like a year. my hair used to be all the way down my back, then shoulder length, then blonde, now short. i change it a lot because i always like different styles (plus i'm like super indecisive). but as much as its different i got used to it quickly because i don't like having my hair all round my face/neck anway (i used to wear my hair up 90 percent of the time to avoid this tbh)

holidays are good then boring/cabin fever induced arguments with my mother then as soon as it starts to come to an end i want them to last forever. I currently have about 15 says left of my holiday and i'm annoyed about it. but thats mostly because i don't want to go back to school. (going from sleeping till noon then watching prison break for hours with your twin to like, doing work and being awake is not fun)

thank you bb, of course i don't mind! i do like my new hair - i think this is the thing you get after you have your hair cut and you miss your old style. I didn't experience that for months so its just got here. But only in a mild form! - as much as i miss my princessy hair, I do love having short hair. It feels cute AND punk which is cool. (i probably just have to get dressed up a bit tbh - right now i'm on holiday so i've been making zero effort with my appearance, so that might have something to do with it)

(Well, I do like the taste of wine, but most hard liquors?  Not really.  Definitely not neat.)
