"I can't believe you're alive again. I really must fix the 'death not being permanent' problem." (Audry is not pleased)
OH HECK NO.
NO NO NO NO NO. He is not going to die at her hands again.
Screw politeness this time. Eugene doesn’t even stop to talk or excuse himself. The moment she spoke, the young man bolted in the opposite direction.

He peered out cautiously from the tent?
Who’s this?
A tall lady, most likely of royalty by her stance. The young strawberry blonde emerged halfway through the tent, blinking in surprise.
Geez, her clothing was rather... Ill-fitting. The dress was enough to expose plenty of collarbone and cleavage.
His face might be a tad bit red. Oh dear.
“Ah…a daughter.” She huffed with a bit of longing and disgust in her otherwise melodic voice. “Children must be raised in an environment where harm shall not come, Winifred. Have you been keeping it safe and loved.”
"Well of course! Do you think I'd leave her in the face of harm?" The demon began to sound incredulous, then annoyed, "I may relatively new to motherhood, Audry, but I'm not stupid. I know the consequences and risks of caring for a daughter, and I'm perfectly willing to face them if They allow me too."
"Besides," She added, stroking the cambion's head affectionately, "She is quite the resilient one. Catherine has a caregiver for when I'm busy, who also happens to be very efficient with little ones. She's happy, healthy, and developing well I can assure you.
“I assure you there is nothing of desire, Miss Winnifred.” The young puppet master smiled as she ran gloved fingers across the rough bark of the tree. “I grow so weary of seeing just the darkness. The moon is lovely tonight. Almost full.”
“I noticed,” Winifred was somewhat surprised, even though her outward appearance registered no shock or disapproval. The demon never grew tired of the comforting embrace of darkness, although maybe Audry would think otherwise.
"What have we here? Miss Winnifred? Its very lovely to see you once more." Said the young puppetmaster. The woman clad in a blood red evening gown and black gloves (both made of a silk like material) approached Winnifred slowly with a bit of a smile on her face. "Lovely evening isn't it?"
The seductress smiled. She had no reason to doubt Liz now; things had been fine and dandy as usual when she took the role as Puppetmaster. She had certainly grown up ever since she became a queen.
“It’s been a fine day,” She replied, matching the other’s tone, “Very fine. Work was a success as usual. I do hope you’re satisfied.”
