Attirati da un dubbio filologico, abbiamo dato uno sguardo approfondito all’opera “Cristo e la Samaritana” di Francesco Augero. Il dubbio, non risolto, riguardava la luce della scena: evidentemente si tratta di un mattino o di una sera, mentre è scritto che “Cristo incontrò la Samaritana al pozzo VERSO MEZZOGIORNO”, e non si tratta di un dettaglio prescindibile.

Licenza artistica? Imprecisione? Mah.

Intanto siamo venuti a sapere qualcosa di più sull’autore e sul quadro (acquistato da S.M. Maria Teresa alla Promotrice del 1850). Sui cataloghi d’arte è riportato che il Francesco Augero ESORDI’ nel 1851, sempre alla Promotrice, con un’altra opera. Informazione questa che ora si dovrebbe correggere.

Bit of a joke! How Parker makes the shortlist ahead of Dempsey or Kompany is beyond me. If Parker wasn't English he wouldn't be in there in my opinion. I also don't think the OX has played enough games this season to feature in the young player shorlist.

Any wild guesses of Aguero's "stupid" foot injury?

A rumour I heard was that it was a tattoo on his ankle that got infected. A pretty good guess, but I doubt footballers are aloud to tattoo there, especially during the season.....but maybe thats why it is so stupid!?
