They're sliding around the place, looking like a fish out of water, like they're on edge or like they might bolt right out of the Arts Center at the drop of a pin. Good. Time to offer him proper family; a place to fit. Potent offerings if you know where to knead. Still, this wolf is a wildcard- she knows that much from Arleen.

"August Choi?" she asks, tone sharp, targeted. "Can we talk? It's about Teo."

Yuisa follows, immediately, with a her first question, because the talking part wasn't an option; "You know who I am?"

Knocking on doors is one of the single worst anxiety triggers in her life. It's met in competition only by calling strangers on the phone and submitting resumes. Even with the bravado and irate fervor that has haunted her in this new form of existence, the very human element of her still hates it.

First her knock goes unanswered and she's not even sure if she actually touched the door with her knuckles, so the second one she, of course, pounds on the thing carelessly, forgetting that she's a lot stronger at a baseline now, so she's wincing when, this time, the door does open.

"Uhm, August Choi?" She asks. "I found your uh, your zine?" She peers in through the opening. "Can we talk?"

Ellie had been working a case all night and she was in desperate need of an early morning pick-me-up. Running over to the coffee shop before work was something she had done hundreds of times. She was waiting for her drink after ordering, as she was also picking up something for her partner before their shift started. Looking down at her phone she was reading a text from Jordan when she thought she heard her name being called. Just as she was about to reach for the cup, her hand collided with someone else's. Looking to see who it belonged to, her brow furrowed as she recognized him. "Oh," she said barely above a whisper. "August," she nodded, her tone short and curt as she was still not over what he had done to her best friend.

"Is she still obsessed with ...” He scratched at the space between his eyebrows lightly, as he tried to remember the name of the infamous brand. “Poof ? Dupe?” Ah Meagan was quite the loud personality, but Luis had learned long ago that it was easier to play along than to swim against the current. She would never change, too set in her ways to look at the world from a different angle. Luis had the same opinion of the PM. These conservatives... He still wondered how you could get elected claiming both not to change a thing while assuring people that you were going to make things better for them.

it’s been about three days since cordelia arrived home and years since she’s seen most of the people who haunt the streets of the usually sleepy town. lake wisteria is a hole in the wall, a less than perfect place to live, but a hidden gem. at least, in delia’s opinion. the sun was high in the sky, sunglasses shielding the dark haired woman’s eyes as she peppily steps along the sidewalk toward the diner. her hope is to find something that sates her desire for a rich meal. lately, her mother’s cooking is less than optimal. it’s been a struggle to learn that things at home have been much worse than their usual. as she turns a corner, she bumps gently into a very well known figure. “august!” delia beams, eyes brightening as she pulls the girl in, likely their first embrace ever. “how the hell are you? it’s so good to see you.”

Does she need to pick the lock to get in? No, certainly definitely not; but man she gets a little bump of dopamine when she feels the clicks click just right - there's an artistry to it, a tenderness. Millie has, for a long time, been really deft with her hands, really good at the gentle touch.

Up the steps she goes and then down the hall. Boom Bom Boomp on August Choi's door. "Hey, wake up, or open up, or what the hell ever. I've got tacos and churros and one of them red mountain dews and I'm supposed to be checking in on you."

Millie looks at the bag and wonders if that was smart. She doesn't know August Choi, not really. What if he's vegan?

"Heh." She laughs. More for her if he is.

The letter had been handed to him personally rather than thrown into the pile that grew taller each day on his desk. When he’d seen the list of instructions and the dress code, the surprise and pride that came from being invited to Downing Street was replaced with a scorned grimace. It wasn’t that he couldn’t clean up well, but rather that he preferred his casual wear to the suit and tie that his partner usually sported.

He showed up ten minutes early, invite letter in his hand, along with his ID and his badge. Most of the security was MET Police, and it was more a formality than anything to get through them and into the lobby. The Christmas tree in here made him scoff. His daughter was obsessed with Love Actually and he wondered if the PM and his wife ever danced around here like Hugh Grant did just for the fun of it. Probably not. The lady sure seemed uptight enough. Hands by his side, he took a look around and waited to be led to the Prime Minister.
