Twenty9 & August Heldt: Get it over with
I think if you keep up with WIIHAMB (which most people don’t, but let’s pretend you do) it’s quite clear that even though I do receive some, I don’t really deal in press releases; I much prefer to find and stumble upon things myself. This does however often leave me in sticky situations with artists I know nothing about collaborating with other artists I know nothing about. Parisian producer Twenty9 and Swedish singer/songwriter August Heldt and their track ‘Get It Over With’ is a pretty solid example of this. The song is a perfect slice of European R’n’B with some nice electronic twists and accents. The pair have just released a four track EP called ‘June Notes’ which you can buy for super cheap over here. ‘Get It Over With’ is also up for free download heeeere.
22 year old French producer Twenty9 recently teamed up with Swedish singer August Heldt on a buttery electronic R&B simmerer named Get It Over With, one of four tracks from Twenty9′s new June Notes EP. All four tracks are quite amazing off the record, supported by the likes of alaya and Modern Filth, but Get It Over With had me in a tight, melodramatic vice with its booming drums, dark synths, melancholic piano, and sorrowful vocals.
