It seems like whenever there are birthdays, there are several of them right after one another!! Our third (and last of this little CLUMP) birthday celebration was in honor of August and Ivy Jane!!!! I can’t believe my 4th- and 3rd-to-last babies are ALREADY children!!!
August, we LOVE YOU so much!!! You have such a confident attitude and you are so charismatic. While you have struggled with the sin of pride, it is clear to everyone that you meet that you are on FIRE for Christ, despite being so small! And, of course, that is the MOSt important thing. You constantly charm everyone with your sweet smile and intelligent words on the Gospel. We are so proud of all the hard work that you do on behalf of our Savior- from studying scriptures diligently to be the top student in Sunday school, to your helpful attitude at Church events, to even witnessing to everyone you meet, you are a GEM in our lives. As your Momma, you are such a glorious example of how good, Christian motherhood pays off in spades. I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses you in the future!
Ivy Jane, you are SUCH a blessing to our family!! Your heart of gold always shines through, and you are a STELLAR example of the Lord’s design for little girls. Even at this young age, you’re demure and you have a strong heart for helping out around the home= everyone you spend time with has remarked on your lovely, NATURALLY feminine demeanor. You are always on hand for some words of comfort, some friendly advice (while NEVER disrespecting your brothers’ and father’s authorities as boys and men!), and even just a fun game! You’re also so helpful with the babies and toddlers in our congregation and family- if the Lord wills it, you will be a fantastic mommy someday! I can’t wait to see how He works in your life!!
