To My Dearest Friend,
I am writing you to ask, in no uncertain terms, what on earth you think you are doing, absconding away without telling me of a reason, or where you are going. It was up to your father and mother to inform me that you had even left at all. Imagine this, if you will: that I have arrived at your home as always only to find that you are nowhere to be found!
Strange, wouldnโt it be?
Well strange it was! I had come to check on you in hopes of understanding what it was I had read about you and Miss Teddy in the Chattermore papers. According to them, you were last seen storming away from her company crying.
I adore you, my friend, of this you know. So to have read these words from the papers rather than hear them from your lips? I wish I could be more appalled than I am. Instead, I am simply worried. I am worried for your well being, your health, your everything and I fear that you are not doing your best.
Please, write to me as soon as possible so that I know you are not lost at sea or have been taken away by pirates.
If you have decided to become part of a traveling circus, however, I implore that you invite me to one of your shows.
Yours Forever,
๐ฟ๐๐๐ถ ๐๐๐น๐๐๐๐๐
PS. Lark and Gwendolyn are engaged to be wed.
