August was not born to people who wanted kids and that’s okay because they actually did one thing responsible and that was giving him up for adoption. They knew that they wanted their son to have the best life that he could because they weren’t going to be able to provide that for him. They dropped him off at the Firehouse and they went on their merry way. This was in Boston, MA. August jumped from home to home in his first three years of life and then he ended up with the Torres’ in Nashville TN. They were able to conceive themselves so that’s why they were excited to have someone like August in their lives.
High school was a great time for August because he was a great student and he was always volunteering around town because he always wanted to make an impact wherever he went. He was always taught that no matter where you go, always leave a bigger footprint than when you walked into it yourself. He was a star in his community because of how involved he was. He decided that when he graduated high school that college wasn’t for him. He wanted to be a firefighter. He wasn’t sure what it was that made him want to do it but his parents were excited because he knew that he was left there as a child.
Because you never knew what could happen, August attended two years at a trade school for electrical incase being a firefighter didn’t work out. He put his heart and soul into it and worked as hard as he could and became a firefighter while also graduating trade school with his certificate in electrical so that he had something to fall back on. He stayed in Nashville until he was twenty-seven and then he was ready to move on. He realized that there was a whole world out there so he decided to head to Merrock, Maine and change his life completely. One of his siblings lived here so he wanted to be with them. Plus they both had gone their fair amount of drama that they wanted to be close with one another again.
