scientific name: Cephea Cephea class: scyphozoa (true jelly) size: The bell of the cauliflower jellyfish can grow to a diameter of up to 24 in, tho some people have seen it much smaller... weight: n/a lifespan: typically short, 3 to 6 months lol The species gets its common name from the cauliflower-like, wart-like protrusions on top of its bell. The venom of the cauliflower jelly is very toxic to its prey, but is not considered harmful to humans. In Japan and China, this species is considered a delicacy and is consumed as food. The jelltfish is known to be bioluminescent, meaning it can produce its own light. During the daytime, it resides in deeper waters, migrating to the surface at night
