Kahoko was shivering slightly, having been caught unaware in an unexpectedly heavy downpour of rain. She had temporarily taken shelter under the awning of a nearby building, which did nothing to shield her from the icy wind which occasionally still sent some rain in her direction, in a futile effort to keep dry. 

In an attempt to distract herself from the cold, she was currently blaming her present predicament on the rotten weatherman who had neglected to mention an afternoon shower and instead given promises of fair weather and clear skies.

The liar…

A weary gaze studied the gloomy clouds and the buckets of water they were unleashing on the earth, giving no impression of stopping the onslaught any time soon. It seemed that she would be here for  a while till it cleared…

"Achoooooo"

Gah…. so cold…

Suddenly the sight of a familiar petite blond carrying an umbrella caused Kahoko’s heart to swell with hope and she called out to the other even as she ran to catch up with her and duck under the umbrella.

"Momo-chan~ Mind if I share your umbrella?"

The other obviously noticing her slightly damp and bedraggled look hurriedly shook her head, even going as far as to drag her further under the protective covering.

"Of course I don’t mind! Want to come to my house to dry off?"

There was no need to ask such a obvious question but Kahoko simply accepted the invitation gratefully anyway and followed her saviour back towards her home where warmth and dry clothing waited…

Kano smiled at the young idol; royalty, huh? He thought to himself. She’d always catch the eye of people, but he didn’t think that somehow, for a day, he’d have to be her loyal subject. He prepared some food for her with a big grin on his face.

"Oii, pr~in~ce~ss, I brought you some oatmeal.” He chimed, carrying the platter of food, of course there were other breakfast items such as toast, orange juice, and some fruits. 

Momo pulled her blanket over her face, she didn’t know why this circumstance happened or even how. But, now that he’s basically hers for the day, maybe she can get back at Kano for all of the teasing? She mulled it over, sitting up in the bed. He took the opportunity to place the platter gently on her lap and with a mischievous smile, kissed her on the forehead, “Enjoy~" He bowed and escorted himself out of the room, hearing just as he closed the door a loud, and seemingly annoyed, "KANO!"

Kyoko stumbled into the phone booth, a bottle in hand which crashed to the floor as she tried to pick up the receiver. She took a spare coin from her pocket and inserted it into the machine to make a call. Her hand trembled as she dialed the number and her thoughts raced. This was something incredible, the start of something new and she needed to tell someone, anyone!

"Mom? Mo…mo? Mornin’, mornin’." Kyoko’s voice slurred over the repeated ‘Mo’s’ and she leaned into the phone, trying to keep herself up. Momo seemed to be trying to reply on the other end of the line, but Kyoko had no time for protestations.

"Momoooooo, I’m like, I have something really big to tell you, n only you so listen up.”

"Kyoko…you’re kind of scaring me…"

"Yeah, okay, whatever, but like, I’m telekipathic, Mom. I can-I can TOTALLY talk to cats. One was all eyeing me up earlier and it was so leewwwwwwd and I could just hear it. I think I might be a-a magical girl, ya know?”

"Erm…"

"IT’S MY DESTAI-NY! I KNOW IT IS!" Kyoko banged her spare hand against the wall of the telephone booth. "I’m like the-the…"

A shrill beeping filled Kyoko’s ear as she realised that Momo had hung up on her. Moments of anger followed which were then replaced by swift sleep as Kyoko fell asleep, quite drunk, in the phone booth.

♜- Midnight snacks

"Hanekawa-san?"

-Like many times before and because they requested her by name, Tsubasa had taken it upon herself to tutor some of her classmates.  In this case, it was Momo Kisaragi, who Tsubasa still thought she was a bizarre mix of Nadeko and Hachikuji rolled up in one cute little package.  Though, no one would be studying this late on a school night.  Still, with what little accommodations she had, Tsubasa had decided it was best for Momo to sleep over rather than walk around at night.-

"What is it Kisaragi-san?”

-There was a lengthy pause before Momo blurted out in a loud voice.-

"I’m hungry!”

-As Tsubasa lay there in disbelief, she could only manage a few blinks before she started to giggle, much to Momo’s displeasure, who was giving Tsubasa her best pout.-

"Okay, okay.  I’m sure there’s something in the fridge.  Perhaps some spring rolls?  But I’m telling you, Kisaragi-san, if you keep this up you’re going to clean me out in no time.”

The last person she’d ever expected to wait out a storm with was a pop star.

Ayano’d been bolting through the streets, hands over her head as she tried to dodge the droplets of rain and get to somewhere dry, when she’d crashed into someone with enough force to send them stumbling backwards. She looked up to see-

Momo Kisaragi. She knew the face and name. Even without the billboards and the music charts, she’d heard plenty of the name- very little of it ever mentioned positively- from the girl’s big brother throughout middle school. Ayano knew that Shintaro was hardly the go-to source for kind words, though, so she reserved any judgement.

"Oh, gosh! I’m so, so, sorry!" Ayano started, lifting up her hands in defense, laughing nervous and too forced.

"No, no, don’t be!" Momo shook her head rapidly, even as she clutched at it. "That doesn’t matter. What matters is that you come with me into the cafe right now so I don’t have to face the people in there alone until the storm’s over.”

Ayano stared, mouth agape. What.

"If you, uh, want?"

And now the two of them were at, you guessed it, the cafe, perched across from each other at a booth. Ayano was texting each of her family members, apologizing for being late, only occasionally glancing up to see how Momo was doing. Neither of them had really spoken to each other aside from some awkward introductions.

Ayano flinched so badly that she almost dropped her phone. The idol did not seem nearly as fazed, cheering as the thunder’s roaring slowly died down.

"Did you hear that, Ayano-chan?" Momo whirled around to face her with a huge grin. "That was awesome! That’s the biggest one yet, I think!” God, how could she not have. It was hard not to crack at least a small smile at Momo’s enthusiasm, though.

"Wow, you sixteen year olds are really…"

"Don't let me die..."

-It was suppose to be a simple dinner.  Yet things did not go as planned.-

-At first there were no problems with acquiring the ingredients, and considering at present Tsubasa's apartment was better equipped to cook it, she and Momo would head there to prepare it.  It was a way of thanks after helping each other out in a bind.  However things would take a turn for the worst as Tsubasa was boiling some vegetables.-

"Ow!"

-Momo was left in charge of cutting the meat in small strips, but it seems that while doing so, made an incision upon herself.  There was blood already flowing out of the cut, albeit slowly, yet Momo seemed to panic and put on the most dejected face imaginable.-

"Kisaragi-san!  Are you okay?"

-There was only one response, as if Momo was ready to burst into tears.-

"Don't let me die..."

-This was followed with a succession of blinks from Tsubasa's end before she formed a slight smile and placed both of her hands over the palm of her cut arm.-

"You're going to be all right.  Just calm down, and come with me.  I have a first aid kit."

-It was a peculiar end to an otherwise uneventful day, but at least there were no further incidents.-

Cats and Idols [Momo and Chihiro]

Kentaro let out a purr while nuzzling his head against the cheeks of his master, who ended up falling asleep on the couch.

Chihiro, on the other hand, was stirred by the purring sound and the feel of a familiar fur brushing against his face. He slowly opened his eyes and saw the face of a certain familiar furball.

"What do you want?" The grayhead asked groggily. The cat went down and walked towards the entrance. His owner apparently understood that the feline wants to go out. He then stood up and stretched a little before going upstairs for a change of clothes.

Afterwards, he went downstairs and picked up his cat and went out of his house, with Kentaro drooping rather lazily atop his head.

He wasn't all that far to his house when he saw a commotion. His dull gray eyes stared at the crowd of people cluttering a relatively large area. Feeling curious, Chihiro approached the crowd. His relatively tall height enabled him to see a girl in the middle of the people, smiling happily at the attention she receives.

It wasn't that long when the girl zeroes in on his direction, her bright eyes seemingly get brighter for reasons he could not comprehend.
