Just some sketched portraits I did yesterday of the two main characters for my comic, Riku and Remus, I've still got a couple more to do I might post those too, who knows XD
it's been a long art recovery for me, and about time I finished this cover x.x it took a while to find my stride with the colors but I think I finally got something decent enough to share. So here it is! The first cover of my new, up coming comic. I got a few things I need to work on, but I'll be starting work on the first pages soon, I'll have to find someplace I'd like to upload them, and then I'll probably do it per-chapter.
I've not drawn comics since high school and lately, I've been rolling around in the unshakeable desire to start a comic of my very own with some of my OCs. I've got some loose running plots going right now, but it's going to be centered around these two guys, Remus and Riku, ones a mentally unstable hacker the other's a snarky street rat and they're sharing an apartment in New York. I'm looking forward to lots of banter and character driven development, love interests, drama, angst, the whole nine yards. Before I started on panels I of course wanted to sort of set the tone for myself to work with going forward and so this is the soon to be title page-obviously just a sketch right now. The working title right now is Sugar, Lust, and Pixie Dust (I've no idea why, it's just stuck in my head). I'm just posting a WIP hoping maybe someone can give me some fresh eyes on this, catch any anatomy issues or weird tangents that you can discern from all these scribbles ^^; Other then that I just like it and am kind of excited so I thought I'd share <3
finished that character design. I wasn't actually sure if I would finish the color, I was so unsure with coloring it and stuff, but I started playing with some new brushes I made and it just kind of happened. I'm fairly pleased with it, though I might still change her hair color...now she needs a name XD
Maybe I'm going at this character design thing kinda backwards? I don't even know...
This is a self portrait, for some reason some one requested it with that limited color meme thing. It's probably the first portrait I've done in a really long time, and the first one I've done of /my/ dreads XD So...yeah. I don't hate it, I'm pretty fond of the colors at least <3
This is a sketch a did a while back for a friend of their OC, I did a finished line work and stuff, but looking back I'm pretty sure I like the sketch more ^^;
