What is the difference between the common & rare alpha familiar? Where are they caught? Can we catch both?

After alpha testing is finished, much like with pre-alpha, we will be giving the testers a code to claim their familiar. In most cases, the testers will get the common one, but there will be a small chance (not yet decided, but imagine something like 1 in 1000) of obtaining the rare one instead.

The other familiars have rare alternate versions now that Chutkat, the new familiar artist, is revamping them. The rares are like a “shiny” version of the common ones. They will be extremely hard to come across in the territory game, but add a little extra fun for the collectors.

Will there be any alpha testing rare familiars or items, like the boolean in Flight Rising, that will be rare once once the game is publicly released?

At the moment we don’t have any planned, but we’re not opposed to asking Chutkat to make us an alpha testing familiar for you guys! How about you reblog this with a suggestion as to what kind of familiar you would like seeing?

I just saw that you wrote my drabble about quick hiccup. Thanks so much! I saw your post about not writing smut much, but I was smiling the whole time reading it.

Aw, thanks sweetie!  I’m always unconfident when writing smut.  And I know you were probably hoping for something a bit different with the “because he got so little pleasure” situation (maybe a First Time scenario?)—but it didn’t really ring true to their intimate relationship, unless he was gone for a while.

Anyway, I’m glad you got a big ‘ol smile out of it :)
