I wanted to talk about some of the world building things I've made for this au so here are some innerworkings and fun facts about this au, mostly little things and headcanons that kinda just add to the world that have little effect on the actual story. But I kinda still wanted to ramble about it.
I'd recommend reading my Intro to my Auri Au before digging into this so you can get a good idea of what going on.
Also I feel like this one is a bit long so I wanted to include a lil audio so here's the theme for the Obsidian Feildlands for you to listen too while you read because I really love this ost
In Hisui, there are three major languages spoken by the people living there.
Kantonian, which is spoken by most people of Jubilife village
Celestian, the traditional language of the celestic people from the diamond and pearl clans
And Galarian, spoken by scholars and people from Galar.
Most people in Jubilife village are from areas surrounding Kanto and Johto, but a select few are from Galar, like Professor Laventon.
Professor Laventon and some other scholars have the first language of Galarian, but have studied and spoken Kantonian for years.
People like Auri, Akari, and Ingo all speak a bit of all three languages.
Ingo spoke Galarian seemingly as his first language, and he learned the Celestic language during his time in Hisui. He later started to pick up a bit of Katonian from spending some time in Jubilife village with Akari
Auri, like Ingo, seems to have galarian as her first language, although she barely reads or writes it. But she also knows both Kantonian and Celestian, but she can only truly read and write in Kantonian.
And Akari is almost completely bilingual when it comes to all three of Hisui’s languages. She spoke an odd subsect of Kantonian with strange slang words and vocabulary. She’s since learned to speak with the other people of Jubilife properly. And after studying under Laventon, she's started studying Galarian enough to be able to hold a conversation. And after spending some time amongst people of both the diamond and pearl clan, she's picked up quite a bit of Celestian, both verbal and a bit of written language.
Some people of the clans like Irida and Adaman did not speak any Kantonian when the settlers of Jubilife but worked hard to learn and communicate with the new arrivals and vise-versa.
Pokemon behavior/ Different uses of pokemon and pokemon products
Some pokemon have different types of behavior than what is shown in the games, but i thought it would make sense for certain pokemon.
One of which are Zoroarks (both because Hisuian zoroark backstory is interesting, and because the behavior of wild zoroarks is planned to be a recurring theme in this fic so i came up with some headcanons for them).
Zoroarks, like in the game, hate humans. When they see one, it's on sight. And not only do they just try to attack, they like to mess with their prey. Using their illusions to toy with people before either letting them go or straight up killing them, this makes them extremely difficult to study.
Zoroarks and Zoruas live in packs that vary in size, usually having one specific leader and with other members who trust and follow them.
Zoroarks are also extremely protective of all Zorua’s and will go to extreme lengths to protect them. With that Zoruas have a tendency to follow and trust any Zoroark they come across when lost or alone. Even when the two aren't related, the Zoroark will almost always help the Zorua to their pack or family before returning to their own.
Zoroarks and Zoruas also use howling as a form of long distance communication. They often howl to announce their presence or to say goodbye to each other. They however are very good at scoping out real Zoroark howls from imposters, as well as separating howls from the voices of Zoroarks that they recognize.
Originally i wanted to have a plotpoint of Auri helping Akari and Professor Laventon study the behavior of wild Zoroarks and some other extremely hostile pokemon
Then there are Alpha pokemon.
Alpha Pokemon and exceptionally large and powerful pokemon, but no one really knows why they are the way they are.
Alphas seem to have little to no control over their actions, sometimes even injuring others of their own kind. It looks as if their power is driving them crazy or causes them pain.
These pokemon can be subdued however by confining them in a pokeball, or the more dangerous route, essentially beating them to exhaustion.
A legend of the Celestic people states that a powerful wielder of pokemon once was able to make an alpha bow to them after a long and strenuous brawl. This method however has cost many their lives.
After being caught in a pokeball though, the alpha pokemon seem to express relief and happiness over not being in a constant rage. And even after being released, the pokemon still live without the effect of the blinding rage that wild alphas seem to experience.
Writers note: I'm going to talk about eating pokemon in canon and technicalities to that, so if that makes you uncomfy feel free to skip this part.
Something that I always hear people talk about when talking about technicalities and implications in pokemon is whether or not people actually kill and eat pokemon in canon. So I wanna talk about that.
Yes, they do. People eat pokemon and some pokemon hunt and eat other pokemon. But like in real life there are lines to what pokemon humans do and don't eat.
Like there could be multiple reasons why they would eat a certain pokemon, but not a different one. Could be mostly moral reasons, and possibly religious reasons in the case of the Clans.
They might hold some pokemon species as sacred, like Wyrdeer and Lilligant and Arcanine, so they wouldn't eat them. But I think some pokemon may be very commonly hunted, Bunary or Bidoof/Bibarel, Magikarp, and possibly Snorlax or Walrein due to abundance, fat content, fur, etc. I think normal type pokemon are more likely to be hunted because they're more like real animals and seem to have actual meat without anything like typings messing with the meat, like poison types probably having poison or toxic content in their bodies.
Pokemon that might not be preferred but not impossible to eat like bug types ( pretty much every bug type pokemon). And there are some that literally have either actual edible parts or little nutritional value like porygon or unown.
I think that there would also be pokemon products. Canon things like Combee honey and MooMoo milk, but I think it's kinda interesting to think about all the things that might exist. Possibly milk, cheese, cream, or butter from other pokemon besides Miltank. There aren't really a lot of pokemon that could be milked in hisui beside Stantler, seeing as in real life reindeer are milked in certain regions. So it's definitely possible that Stantler could be a source of food without being hunted.
And certain pokemon like Petilil and Tangela canonically have their leaves/vines used for herbal remedies and medicines. There are probably other grass types that have similar uses.
Stuff about the Clans
The Clans' diets, of course, are different due to their customs, locations, and possible food sources.
The Pearl Clan due to living in the icelands, have less vegetables and fruits in their regular diet and depend on pokemon as a food source. Just about the only types of edible plants that grow in the icelands are certain types of berries, sootfoot roots, and sand radishes. This leaves the Pearl clan to consume meat and pokemon products as major parts of their diets more than not.
The Diamond clan has an abundance of plant life within their territory in the Mirelands. So while eating meat isn't uncommon, their diets mostly lean more towards veggies, fruits, berries and pokemon products.
Things like herbal remedies from pokemon are also much more common within the Diamond clan due to having pokemon like Petilil and Tangela within the Mirelands.
Also as a result of their climate, the Pearl Clan is known for their talent in combat, living in such a hostile environment resulted in the Pearl clan being natural born fighters.
Many tactical and weaponary advances were made by the Pearl clan.
The Pearl Clan actually has weaponsmiths that take great pride in being able to craft unique and effective weapons for different purposes, all of which are successful in their task.
And of course as a result of their climate, the Diamond Clan is extremely proficient in medical advancements. Having so much plant life and access to pokemon with medical benefits in the Mirelands led to many discoveries. Balms, salves, early medicines, and solutions were made and improved on by the Diamond clan.
Healers in the Diamond Clan are trained to a tee, and made to memorize every study and note left by their teachers and past healers.
Clan lore
Writers note: this is mostly things about the Diamond and Pearl clans that goes more into their histories, some things may not line up with some theoretical or canonical facts but again this is for a fanfic, I'm trying to make a story out of this.
Beginning with as far back as recorded history in the clans go, long ago there was only one clan.
Tales told about the old clan within both the Diamond and Pearl clans are roughly the same but they end differently depending on who it is heard from.
Long ago there was only one clan. One family, originally led by one man. They all worshipped and followed the true Almighty Sinnoh, and were led to follow by this man.
But when he died there was a hole to be filled, and many tried to fill the position he had left behind, and almost everyone had failed.
It was left to two men, some say they were brothers.
The two fought hard to obtain the position of leader in the clan, and it all climaxed atop Mt. Coronet.
This was where the two men were consumed by a flash of light. And this is where the story splits.
The Pearl Clan states one of the men was shown a vision of the Almighty Sinnoh, Palkia, who told him the other man was going to lead his people to doom, and to not let them worship the false idol.
After the two of them came to, they fought over what they each saw and when they returned, the other man managed to convince half of the clan of what he saw, and he led them away from the clan, starting his own clan following the false idol.
And of course the Diamond Clan tells the same tale, only that Dialga warned the other man of a false idol leading his people astray.
Each of these men ended up being the first leaders of the Diamond Clan and the Pearl Clan respectfully.
While the original clan was said to have lived in the Coronet Highlands, the now split clans each left to their now respectful places of living.
Tell everyone about your adrian family hc please <3
Well alright, guess cat's out of the bag on here haha!
So those in servers know I've been developing an OC for some time related to Adrian, thus creating an au around that.
So this is Aurelia "Auri" Graye Vernworth! She's born about 7 years before canon, and as Adrian's daughter she grows up largely among the Coven Heads in the castle. They essentially become family to her as they adore her very much. She's especially close to Adrian as he is to her.
She's very curious, sweet, and her own unique self! She has a real talent for creatures, and generally enjoys rolling around in the dirt searching for them. She usually only speaks in sounds and noises, she hardly forms words until she's older and in school. Even then, she simply never talks much (unlike her chatty father).
There's also Auri's deceased parent, Lymantria "Lym" (they/them) who is killed about a year after Auri is born. Adrian was present when they died, but none of the Coven Heads or Auri know what happened. Belos sure does tho.
They're based on a moth! Lym was a secret wild witch when they met Adrian, and as such this plays into events extremely (there's a whole seperate lore I made for this too haha)
Also they may be dead but they still haunt Adrian the narrative!
I love talking about my AU to flesh it out more, so don't hesitate to ask for more info!
I don't like drawing human hearts. Anyways I haven't really done a lot of drawing lately, I just haven't enjoyed creating anything for a while now. I enjoyed making this peice.
I listened to Mitski's Brand New City on loop while making this. I listen to a lot of Mitski while thinking abt Auri.
Tw: mild gore + some oc x canon fluff
Auri feels a lot of anger, she has genuine anger issues. Combined with past truamas she probably would rip out her own heart if she could.
YES I KNOW IM NOT GOOD AT DRAWING HUMAN ORGANSs STOP TALKING ABOUT IT
Akari, Warden Ingo, Adaman, Irida, Kamado, and Auri
Recently I made some art featuring my Pokemon legends oc Auri, and it made me want to finally write about her. After having her and developing my own Au based around her for three years I feel like it's finally developed enough and I'm actually confident enough to actually go through with it.
These will mainly consist of au backstories and synopsis for the characters mainly featured in this au, and a tidbit describing their relationship to the main character during the beginning of the story.
I’ll let you dig into the main characters before we get into Auri’s section, so she’ll be at the end.
I also made a little introduction to this au here, I'd recommend checking that out first to get a better idea of what's going on in this au
Akari
The hero of Hisui, Akari. Fallen from the sky several years ago at this point. She now works with the Survey Corps, and is studying under professor Laventon to become a professor in pokemon studies herself.
After only months of first being in Hisui, she captured and trained countless powerful pokemon including plenty of alphas as well. After being praised as a savior from the sky, she was persecuted and banished from Jubilife when what was called “The End of Days” came about. When the sky darkened and seemingly shattered. When everyone thought the world was going to end, Akari brought back the sun into the sky and saved Hisui.
But lasting effects played into Akari's mind now. She's plagued by the memories of being thrown out and ostracized by the people she had helped and grown close too. Even though she was taken back happily by them she feels untrusting towards the majority of people in Jubilife. The only people she tends to let near her seem to be Professor Laventon, Cyllene, Warden Ingo, Adaman, and Irida.
When just about anyone else tries to become closer to Akari, she can't help but close herself off and become distant. It's implied though, that she had some sort of past relationship with the Bounty Hunter, and at times they seem to have an unspoken bond of sorts. There's been multiple times where the Bounty Hunter seems protective of her. But they fight and argue every time they're together, though Akari is one of the only people she refuses to get physical with.
Akari also feels immense expectation anxiety. Feeling like if she doesn't or can't live up to expectations, then something unfathomable will happen. She is always trying her best to live up to the expectations of those who she looks up to like Laventon, and of those who are above her, like Commander Kamado.
Ingo
Warden Ingo of the Pearl Clan, He's lived in Hisui for decades now. He, for the most part, minds his business in his home in the mountains of the Highlands. A hut atop a high mountain in the west of the Highlands, surrounded by forests and wildlife, caves and tunnels in the mountain serving as homes for plenty of Sneasels and Sneaslers. He mostly lives and breathes in solitude.
He occasionally travels to Jubilife to help train the Security Corps with training their pokemon, but that only happens when they request it. Oftentimes thought, He only comes to Jubilife to buy things and to battle Akari regularly.
Those battles do happen on a weekly basis, the regularity in just this schedule alone helps him have some sense of normality.
Ingo seems to have some bad blood with the Security Corps And Kamado specifically, something that happened long in the past it seems. That alone seems to be his reason for keeping his distance from Jubilife. He won’t speak about what exactly caused this, neither will Kamado, and no one else seems to know what their dispute is about, except, Irida. But she's sworn herself to silence on the subject, and won't speak a word of it.
Ingo along with both Akari and the Bounty Hunter are amongst the strongest pokemon battlers within Hisui. His go-to team is known for their strength and fighting ability. His team are all extremely intimidating, often reflecting his own presence. Many are incredibly put off by his constant scowl, although if they’d stuck around they'd notice his polite and courteous nature.
He also seems to have a past with the Bounty Hunter. Just about everyone besides the two are unaware of their relation, but when it comes to public appearances, it seems that Ingo is the only person she respects fully. Even commands from him are followed to a tee, as a shout from Ingo is enough to make the girl shut up and sit down wherever she is.
Adaman
The Leader of the Diamond Clan, a very busy man with little free time, or so he says. He presents himself as a serious and firm man. He hardly hesitates to get involved when it comes to politics, yes he wants to keep peace between the main populations of Hisui, but he is not afraid to stand for his clan and represent his people. He’d rather not butt heads, as doing that just wastes time, but he’s no pushover.
Adaman constantly travels between the Mirelands and the Highlands to check in with the Wardens there every day, as those two are considered Diamond clan territory because the stationary Nobles have wardens that belong to the Diamond Clan. The other three territories are visited less often but still several times a week, with the fewest visits being up to the Icelands because traveling up there is both extremely time consuming and cold.
But with Warden Sabi of the Diamond clan being so young, Adaman still feels the need to check in on her everyday, so a trip to the Highlands to report to Adaman or her parents is an almost everyday thing.
Something notable about Adaman of course is his relationship with his sister, Mai. She raised him since he was a boy. His mother died from illness when he was but a toddler, hardly able to walk. This was when Mai began to take part in his life as his big sister.
As a youngling, Adaman would follow Mai around in her day to day life, and she was happy to help his father, who was still the leader of the clan and dealing with the grief of losing his wife.
Then when Adaman was around the age of 9, he decided to go exploring the southern side of the Mirelands but got himself into trouble.
His father came to his aid and fought the alpha pokemon that his son had caught the attention of, at the cost of his own life. Adaman was left scarred, mentally and physically.
Growing up Adaman decided to take up his fathers mantle as the leader of the Diamond Clan. And after growing up in such circumstances, he wanted to be there for whoever he could. He loves his clan, his family.
After a member of his clan went missing for days on end, Adaman couldn’t stop his worries. ‘She must be so scared, why can’t anyone find her?’ he couldn't help but think and double his own worries. Until she showed up out of nowhere, ranting about how she was saved by a Zoroark of all things! It wasn’t till the man who had kidnapped the clan member was detained and jailed with a missing limb by a mask wearing bounty hunter, that he realized what happened. Since then he's had several encounters with her, all of which she always seems to be standoffish and mean. Like she holds a personal grudge against him
Irida
The leader of the Pearl Clan, a noble woman with a great knowledge of all of Hisui’s vast land. Hardly a new nook or cranny would slip past Irida, she has quite the talent for being ultra aware of all her surroundings.
Irida is known for being a bit reserved and cautious, she’d much rather play it safe when it comes to approaching newer things. This is also reflected in the Pearl clan being very strict when it comes to traditions as well.
Irida spends her regular day making her way around all regions of Hisui, usually in one long trip to check in with each Pearl clan warden and to check in on the status of their nobles. Starting in the Icelands, making her way to the Highlands, then to the Fieldlands. Sometimes she’ll stop by Jubilife to see what kinds of things may be happening that day, then she'll make her way to the Mirelands, then to the Coastlands before heading back to the Icelands.
There are some notable stops on her way that she puts extra effort into. One of which are her visits to Warden Ingo. The Man lives atop a rather high mountain but Irida can conquer the heights on said mountain with her eyes closed. She makes sure to check Ingo's well-being, as she secretly worries about him. He shuts himself off from most of the clan and stays alone on his mountain most days. She's scared that, because she seems to be one of the only people to see him regularly, that one day she'll go to see him as usual, but instead find his remains.
Before Irida had even been born, her father had disappeared in a blizzard deep in the icelands, leaving her Mother to raise her. But her poor mother was left a mess at the loss of her husband, meaning she wasn't always the most present or the greatest of parent.
Irida, however, found a mentor and teacher in Gearic, the Pearl Clan Warden of the Icelands. Gearic taught many a thing to young Irida, from where and when the scarce but nutritious plants of the Icelands grow, to how to grapple and fight opponents much larger than her. It was many of these teachings that made Irida who she is now.
When the last leader of the pearl clan became deathly ill, it was decided the leader would choose a replacement since they did not have an heir. Irida competed against other pearl clan members, including Palina. Irida would ultimately win, her knowledge of Hisui’s land and her faith and loyalty to their Mighty Sinnoh would be the qualities giving her favor.
Irida seems to have a quiet and respective relationship with the Bounty Hunter. It seems as if the Bounty Hunter may even have been paid a favor by Irida at some point, based on whispers and the Bounty Hunter lowering her head respectfully towards her during acquaintances.
It was out in the mountains of the Icelands where many members of the Pearl clan had said they heard strange and unusual howling and maybe even a song echoing through the icy mountains, Irida had set out with a few guards from Jubilife and even Akari herself came to investigate the noises.
After hours of traveling through the mountains when a snowstorm had set in. The group was lost and unable to navigate through the wind and snow when Irida had spotted a figure in red and white in the distance. Having not much of a choice, They followed the figure and slowly but surely out of the mountains and back to land they recognized.
Unable to see their guide before they left for home, the group proceeded. Irida looked back to the mountains to see a familiar figure in the distance of the mountains, red kimono and white hair.
Kamado
Kamado, the head of the entirety of Jubilife village and its people. He leads with an iron fist and hard head as the elders would say.
He and the rest of his people came from far off lands, some in the village say their home was a place known as Johto and other regions, but it's unclear exactly where Kamado’s original home was. All that’s known to most is that it was destroyed by a powerful pokemon.
Set ablaze by the screeching figure in the dark sky, an entire village glowed in its own destruction. Everything surrounding the village was captured by the fire as well, including a farm-home on the outskirts of the village with its inhabitants trapped inside.
Kamado’s wife, his children, and his parents, all confined within the burning walls of their family home, died that night. To think that morning had started so normally, and now, everything had changed in the matter of one night.
As Kamado fled with other survivors of this massacre, they all watched as the winged beast of fire screeched once more and ceased its carnage. They could do nothing but watch the beast fly away to seek destruction elsewhere.
Kamado led his people to Hisui to build a new home away from the destructive pokemon of their previous homeland.
Kamado first met the Bounty hunter when she first came into Jubilife village. She immediately brought herself unwanted attention, including Kamado himself who came to see what everyone was so worked up about. They all watched as she took a wanted paper from the public post board, before a tall pokemon teleported right behind her and teleported them both from sight. Most civilians of Jubilife were terrified. Not only did a masked figure make her way into the village, a pokemon appeared from nowhere and then they both disappeared into thin air! Some were taken aback as they didnt even know that was a thing pokemon could do! Others suspected a zoroark trick, after all her mask looked to imitate one!
Kamado worked to calm the people panicking over this incident, but before he could speak a sentence, a blur of light came and ended in an instant. There the Masked figure with the pokemon from before stood atop a bound man, the very bandit whose picture was on the wanted poster she took down. It was then when Kamado understood that they may have a new ally, or a new enemy.
Over the months of the Bounty Hunter turning in criminals for cash, Kamado has tried to get her to join forces, but she always refuses rudely. While her attitude is enough to instate proper punishment for anyone else, Kamado (and everyone else for that matter) are wary to even step in her way. Though to Kamado, she is not physically intimidating, he fears what she may bring to the village should she be aggravated. But for now, she has shown little aggravation to the average civilian, and kamado would rather wait to have her join the corp peacefully than make an enemy of her.
Auri
Also known by the title of “ The Bounty Hunter" by the people of Hisui and “ The Human Zoroark” by the vast pokemon population of Hisui, not much is known about her by the majority of people of Hisui. Though it is rumored that she was stolen as an infant and raised by a pack of wild Zoroarks in the secret valleys of the Alabaster Icelands.
The Bounty Hunter is known for her brutish and rude nature. Since she is not a part of any group of people, she has a habit of not giving proper respect to just about anyone. Not only will she go off on anyone, she’ll do it in a way that almost always makes whoever it's aimed at feel like they've just been threatened. That alone has gotten her into plenty of trouble.
Along with her attitude, she also is known for her unfortunate anger issues. Should someone incur her wrath, they will most likely not make the same mistake twice. Auri is a trained fighter, although no one can tell who exactly trained her. She has a strong sense of justice, and when she feels it has not been served, she feels the need to “fix” it.
To any outsider, the Bounty Hunter is a cold and mean spirited individual who would be happy to crush any person unfortunate enough to stand in her way. The majority of people in Jubilife fear her and her team of pokemon, the people of the clans seem vary on their stance of judgment from indifferent to wary, and Bandits loathe her.
Auri dawns her baneful fox mask and hunts bandits and criminals from the lists and wanted posters hung within Jubilife hall. Once successfully detained she returns the criminals to Jubilife to be locked up deep underneath Jubilife hall where a jail had been made in the deepest basement. She then lives off the bounties given by the Security Corps for her service.
It is unknown to the people of Jubilife where the bounty hunter lives but some of those who are closer to her have learned that she simply lives everywhere, or in other words, she's homeless. She sleeps wherever she ends up at the end of the day. And when it comes to resting up, she returns to the Icelands and rests within the nests of her Zoroark pack.
Yes amongst the ice and snow, there is a pack of Zoroarks that consider Auri one of their own. Hidden deep within a hidden valley in the western side of the icelands, this pack is run by an old and wise female Zoroark known as both Mother and Grandmother to the Zoroarks and Zoruas. What's known about the Mother is that she's a large and intimidating specimen, possibly an alpha. She is one of the only pokemon known that is able to speak human language by mouth. When She first met Auri, she could immediately tell she was hurt from humans, and that was the sole bond that led her to being taken in by the pack
Amongst the pack when she first joined was a little blue and gray Zorua that took a liking to her immediately. Growing close, they become siblings. After evolving into a Zoroark, Darkness travels with Auri and protecting his big sister as best he can. Though Auri has a full team of pokemon partners, the bond she shares with Darkness, both as siblings and as battle partners, is unlike anything else. It's not uncommon for the pair to share a glance and know exactly what each other is thinking.
All the pokemon on Auri's team consist of:
Raichu, “Bubby”, met in the Fieldlands. He enjoys being spoon-fed by his human, he'll cry is she says no
Roserade, “Posey”, met in the Mirelands. She will nudge Auri until they sit down together so that Auri will preen and clean her petals.
Gardevoir, “Galla”, also met in the Mirelands. She likes to float around Auri and hang on to her shoulders while she walks.
Alpha Ninetails, “Winona”, met in the Coastlands. She's very motherly and enjoys smothering both Auri and the rest of her team with her warmth.
Alpha Vaporeon, “Baby-boy”, met in the Fieldlands. Despite his large size and power, he's quite timid. Without any encouragement he'll coward before anything, no matter how small.
And of coarse,
Shiny Zoroark, “Darkness”, met deep within the Icelands. Often he insisted on holding his big sister's hand while they walk together.
Thank you for reading! Please stay tuned for more. Feel free to leave comments, I love to hear feedback!
"As spring arrives, so do the flowers, and lilacs are among the first to bloom, signaling that more is to come. In other words, they represent new beginnings."
I decided I finally want to start making more art and things based around my pla oc, Auri, becuase she's been sitting in the back of my head for three years now and she won't stop complaining.
So here's a nice lil piece of art I made with Auri. Hopefully I'll be writing about her soon on a blog post on my writing account
A little introduction into my Pokemon Legends Arceus au fic
I think I've decided I'll be mostly writing this as fanfiction but I may make comics for it in the future.
This Au contains plenty of my own headcanons and fanon character changes. For the most part I tweaked some things about existing characters to make things work in this au and of course made up some new concepts and backstories for a lot of things in this. This is meant to be a separate but similar timeline to the game.
Please remember this is fanfiction and not meant to be taken as canon. If you find yourself upset at any creative changes I've made for this au please don't take your emotions out on me or my posts. I appreciate constructive criticism, but not harassment.
Ships: oc x canon (I am cringe, but I am free)
This Au takes place after the main place after the main storyline. For the most part everything with the main storyline goes as in the games.
The Hero of Hisui is Akari, a young girl who fell from the sky and saved Hisui and its inhabitants.
However this au mostly follows its own original character, Auri.
Auri, while not being a savior of the region, is more of an anti-hero if you will. She has done plenty of good deeds but also some questionable ones. She for the most part serves her own intentions, which mostly consists of just surviving in the wilds of Hisui.
Auri belongs to no group of people and she lives, sleeps, and breathes the wild environment of Hisui.
She does, however, take “work” from the people of Hisui.
The main storyline of this au follows Auri, also known widely as The Bounty Hunter, and her constant fight to stomp out clans of bandits, murderers, poachers, and other invasive scum from the face of Hisui.
But the Bounty Hunter faces more than just bandits, as the ghosts of her past continue to haunt her. With more than just burned bridges, she will either have to continue a harsh, lonely life in the wilds of Hisui, or rekindle and mend these relations to build a better future life for herself and others.
I do plan for this to be very mature with themes of trauma, violence, and of course, romance. This will have a romantic arc between oc x canon (if you've seen my art account you'll know who).
Along with this I want to dive into headcanons for existing characters along with improvised backstories. I definitely feel like some characters could've been given deeper backstories.
Specifically we'll get improvised backstories for Akari, Ingo, Irida, and Adaman along with some other characters included in their backstories.
And of course, if this fic gets to its conclusion, a bittersweet ending with loss and reunion.
