Auriferous Flame - Ardor for Black Mastery (Full album, 2023)
The most hardworking man in RABM is back with another Auriferous Flame record called Ardor for Black Mystery.
Some of you maybe familiar with Auriferous Flame but for the uninitiated, this is the more straightforward counterpart to the spectacularly abstract Spectral Lore. Don't get us wrong however, just because the music is more straightforward it does not mean that it is devoid of Ayloss' signature magic tricks. This album(save for a few moments) is a barrage that starts at 11 and ends at 11. Riffs twist and grind their way through with no mercy. There's an anger and rage here that Ayloss is expressing, and frankly we are quite scared. This is unhinged, pounding and pure face melting black metal at its core! Ayloss signature melodies and guitar tones are all here for us to savour! Thaumarturgical Irresolutions also gives us some thrash for us to mosh to. There's even a hint of Mystras here in the track Ophidian Hallways. It's all here people!
This is proof that Ayloss has no signs of ever stopping. We have no idea what's about to hit us next from him but we are very excited(to say the least). He is ascending to heights unknown, and we are all aboard this spaceship, ready to see what lies in the void!
In short, Auriferous Flame is another blessing from Ayloss, and we implore you to give this a listen!
