Nooooooo! My parakeet died so I can somewhat relate to your situation.

Aw I had a pet bird that died before. I was so sad!! 

I'm sad Yuki flew away but not that sad.. He hated me so much ever since I got a new bird. I was going to give him away to someone since he obviously was not happy living with me. 

If my bird chichi flew away, i would cry cause me and chichi are close. thats my son.

He's been planning his escape for a long time. I'm not too surprised.

We had someone over to paint our door and since it was wide open, he just flew out screaming 'free at last!!!'
