fun fact! australia voting is also mandatory or you get fined. and you don’t vote for who you want as the prime minister. you vote for the member who represents your area, and whichever party makes up the most of parliament makes the leader of that party the prime minister and the other ‘running’ leader, the opposition leader, who still has a say in what happens!
