#JamboreeScouts Opening of #APRJamboree in #Mongolia. #ScoutsMongolia ==> #Repost @scoutsnz_asia_pacific_jamboree ・・・ Scouts New Zealand had the honour of raising the "World Organisation of the Scout Movement" (WOSM) flag at the APR Jamboree opening ceremony. The 4 flag raisers were joined by the 4 senior representatives of Scouts Mongolia. 1 - the Mongolia flag, raised by a Mongolian Scout as the current hosts. 2 - the World Scout Flag, raised by a New Zealand Scout as the nation who had travelled the furthest to Mongolia. 3 - the Scouts Asia Pacific Region flag, raised by a Bangladesh Scout as next hosts of the APR Jamboree in 2021. 4 - the APR Jamboree 2017 flag, raised by a Korean Scout as the larger contingent at the APR Jamboree. A very public and visible New Zealand presence on the world Scout stage, and a privilege from our hosts that is greatly appreciated.
