4 – Linnea

Some confusing cropping tanks what looks like a solid shot. Sure, it does look somewhat like Linnea just felt asleep. But she looked incredible when she was asleep. The parts of her body that we do see are incredible, the way she has laid on the chair has given her a beauty curve in her back, and the positioning of the legs feels natural. She looks a bit short right now, but again I think that can be blamed on how the shot has been cropped, rather than anything else. Not really sure what Linnea could’ve done better herself, this was all down to the photographer.

5 – Aleyna

It was clear by this point Aleyna was going to sail to the end, but I think it would’ve been nice to add a bottom 2 bump to her road here. I just feel a bit puzzled about the direction of the shot. It has an almost dancer-like quality, that I just don’t think works for swimwear; the daintily pointed toe, the extended arm, the almost pirouette pose. Her body looks good in the swimwear, I just think the pose distracts from it rather than enhances it. I do like the coy way she is fiddling with the hat, bringing it down over her face. It was a very natural way to nail the faceless aspect. It’s definitely not a bad shot, but it is still Aleyna’s first, and probably only, trek outside my top 4.

6 – Belinda

Belinda’s elimination was probably a week overdue, but at least she went with a solid photograph. After a poor shoot last week, I was a huge fan of the end results of this one. Belinda’s shot is definitely the clumsiest execution of the brief, the only one where the face feels awkwardly hid, but I still think Belinda’s body looks great. That curve in the side really helps sell the swimwear. The arms are a bit awkward, I get what she was going, but her left arm feels like it is hovering at an awkward angle. Drop that down parallel to the shot, and I think it feels more natural, and helps the shot’s dramatic flair.

1. Daisy

Damn Daisy! This picture is absolutely divine! Her body is just insane and the swimwear looks sensational on her. I adore her dramatic pose and how she worked the set: it’s amazing how she draped her arms around the chair and drew attention to the bracelets, and her body language has the perfect balance of tension and relaxation. Daisy slaughtered this photoshoot and delivered not only her personal best so far (by a lot!) but also one of my favorite shots of the season!

2. Sabine

Welcome back Sabine! This is a killer photo, it’s so dynamic. I love how it looks like she was in the middle of a dance and snapped into this position just as the shot was taken. On top of that she also sold the swimwear perfectly. I don’t think this was necessarily worthy of all 10s at panel, but it’s still an outstanding shot of Sabine and I was happy to see her finally step things up!

3. Kassidy

Kassidy was extremely confident during the shoot and it shows! Her body is so athletic, and she made sure that the swimwear was prominently on display. The thrown back head and arms over her face portray both frustration and passion which makes the photo even more interesting. As much as I like Kassidy’s shot, she was incredible to watch on set (arguably the best performer of the day based on what I saw) and I think she had even better options to choose from.

4. Linnea

Linnea was screwed over by the photo selection and I fully blame the photographer. It’s not her fault at all, but I can’t deny that having both of her arms and half her legs cropped out downgrades the shot. Still, I think she did a good job. I love her creative choice to lounge backwards on the chair like a sunbather, and she modeled the swimwear so well. It’s a strong shot of Linnea but it would’ve been better zoomed out.

5. Aleyna

Similar to Kassidy, I believe Aleyna had better shots based on what she gave on set. I love the way she worked the hat and turned her head to the side to add some mystery. However, there’s something off about her posing. It looks like she’s hunching into her shoulders, and the kicked up leg wasn’t executed properly since it’s making her look too off balance. Aleyna’s picture isn’t bad but it was definitely overpraised at panel.
