1 – Madison’s Kotex Shot

This may not be the expected choice, but for me this just had to be the top spot. This shoot had pretty mediocre results across the board, but Madison managed to create a photo brimmed with life, that made the gown look couture, expensive and divine. The elevation is extreme here. The shot explodes off the screen for me, with instant focus going in on her eyes. It may not be technically perfect, but the strengths of every other element make me throw those flaws out the window.

2 – Adele’s Chanel Shot

Deciding between my top 2 was incredibly difficult, both shots are the first things to come to mind when I think about this cycle, and both feel like superb modelling feats. Ultimately though, I’ve settled on Adele’s shot in second. It is still perfection though, Adele’s shining moment on the show. How she has retained such a poised elegant manner while perched like that is beyond me, it is beyond brilliant. Without a doubt one of the strongest brand representations I’ve seen on NTM, on any cycle. She fit the brief to a tea.

3 – Madison’s Couture Swimwear Shot

Madison managed to produce some of my favourite shots of the cycle in her short run, and easily became my favourite model, at least personality wise. This shot was such a killer shot, her look in the first episode gave me worries about being very niche, but here she showed she can perform in an entirely different scenario. The shot is explosive, the strength and calmness of the face, surrounded by the motion of the water. As I said before, even with the minimal swimwear the context of the shoot and strength of her face make up for it. Absolutely adore this.

4 – Eloise’s Natural Beauty Shot

Damn, this photo still leaves me stunned. Genuine super model vibe, Gisele Bündchen at her prime completely. Eloise was a far stronger model than being gone in week 4 would suggest, and this was her crowning moment. She has such a drive and passion in her eyes, and her face looks incredible here. It is the shot that can head a campaign without any doubt. It is criminal we didn’t get to see her participate in the later shoots, I have a feeling she could have destroyed the lingerie in the desert shoot.

5 – Clare’s Chanel Shot

This is a magnificent showing of Clare’s modelling skills, the strength is in the details. She fits the aesthetic perfectly, and every part of her body has been correctly managed to create a cohesive final photo. It is modern and fresh, and Clare’s finest moment on the show, and given the strength of her overall portfolio, that is a feat.

6 – Clare’s Beach Shot

This shoot in general was a sensational ending to the season. It was a mixed bag in terms of the overall quality of shoots, lots of weeks had only a few stand out shots, so it will good to see a photoshoot where every model nailed it. Clare has my favourite shot, but any photo of this week feels like the shot that a different person will be obsessed with. This one just has that romantic, ethereal quality with a slight edge, which in turn gave it the edge over Tahnee and Cassi for me. Still, a magnificent set of shots.

7 – Tahnee’s Beach Shot

Tahnee really came into it in the end, this shot being a crowning jewel in her portfolio. Her body and face feel completely in sync, and it is serving me drama and fashion all at the same time. I stand by the fact that this really gives me Cycle 7’s Fabio shoot but done right, gone is all the classic NTM cheese, and just a dreamy, romantic, delightful photograph.

8 – Clare’s Natural Beauty Shot

Clare’s look was definitely a naturally striking one, so I wasn’t surprised she killed this shoot. She really does scream young Galadriel, and as a kid I adored Lord of the Rings, so I was fully good with that comparison being drawn out.
