#4 – Simone

With this shoot being about lingerie, I did expect a lot more from Simone. It just feels a bit lacklustre for me.  Sure her body looks killer, but there is something off about the pose. The face doesn’t seem to match either, I get she was going for seductive, but it just reads as sleepy.

1. Montana

For the second week in a row Montana utterly dominated her competitors. Everything about her picture is so expensive and luxurious. She modeled the lingerie spectacularly well and her pose has the perfect amount of sex appeal. I can’t get over how amazing her legs look and I love her delicately raised hand as well. Her face is gorgeous as well, her eyes are tantalizing and I love the angle of her jawline. Montana rocked this photoshoot and I think her shot is the only one that could truly work as a lingerie editorial.

2. Izzy

All of the shots from here on down were generally underwhelming. I actually agree with Izzy’s choice to keep things more reserved with her posing. The minimal pose is kind of excellent, she modeled the lingerie well and I like the way she’s holding the flowers. Her face is really beautiful, but I wish that she had more going on behind her eyes; she just looks very vacant and she didn’t connect well with the camera despite staring straight at it. If this had been a single elimination I definitely would’ve spared Izzy. However, since two girls were sent home I can see why she was eliminated. She had been inconsistent throughout the competition and I don’t think she had as much true potential as most of the other girls. I was still sad to see Izzy leave though.

3. Simone

I expected a much stronger picture of Simone since she got such great feedback on set. The biggest problem I have is that her eyes are extremely sleepy and that drastically lessens the impact of the shot (she still looks beautiful though). However, she has a perfect body for lingerie and the product looks amazing on her. The simple pose is very good as well, though she could’ve done something different with her limply dangling arm. This had the potential to be a great shot if Simone had brought more life to her expression.

4. Hazel

Hazel’s pose is fairly strong and works well for selling the lingerie. However, this shot kind of falls apart when I get to her face. I’m not sure if it’s the make-up or the way she caught the light or some combination of those and other factors, but quite frankly she looks gaunt and creepy. Unlike last week, the seductive expression isn’t believable at all. This is may have been a stumble for Hazel, but I thought her elimination was unfair. I understand the judges’ assessment that she was perhaps too green, but since she had been on a roll for several weeks I think she deserved another chance.

5. Liz

The judges seemed to love Liz’s photo and I don’t really understand why. The only real positive is that her body looks fantastic in the lingerie, but the pose itself isn’t actually all that great. Her shoulders are positioned super awkwardly and the fan holding hand looks bizarre. She tilted her head too far down and forward causing her to lose her neck, and her deadpan expression is unappealing. Liz’s insecurities on set got the better of her.

6. Rachel

Rachel’s picture is an absolute train wreck. It looks like she’s sliding off the chair and her limbs are all totally busted, particularly her legs. Her neck is so short and tense, her eyes are blank, and her snarled lips are unflattering. I can’t think of any logical reason for Rachel escaping elimination this week after this dismal performance, especially since two models were sent packing.

#1 – Montana

It is sad that we are at week 9, yet there is only one actually great photo. Still, the greatness of the photograph almost makes up for it. Montana perfectly blends classiness and sexiness. This photo is just perfect, like pretty much every photo she takes Her body looks amazing in the lingerie, I love the coy sexiness, especially the way she is stroking the wall paper. Her face is gorgeous too, the longing-sexy look is perfect. Definitely another ace in her portfolio.
