happy birthday Sora Suiga(utau) and Aurum(Maghni AI) !!!!! [16 sep]
sora
aurum
Sora Suiga is a japanese synth created, designed, and voiced by YU (yu_yacchu on twt), and released on 16 sep 2008. soras main art is drawn by naruko. soras character birthday is 16 sep 1989. he is 175cm tall and 19yo (idk how his canon birth year works with his character age). his character item is curry, which he loves more than anything
Aurum is an english, japanese, spanish synth developed by VocaTone. i could not find who their vp is but theyre designed and illustrated by Necronatural(?)(aurums original artist is listed as "crossync" on olivers official twt, but the vocal synth fandom wiki says Necronatural is the one who designed aurum) . aurum is agender (which is not having a gender at all, or having a lack of gender) and uses they/ them pronouns. they have not been released but are currently in development for VocaTone's and Misbah Studios's upcoming engine called Maghni AI. i really wanted to post about aurum though, and the first date i could find was olivers official twt acc posting their full art on 16 sep 2016, so im sticking with this date until we get a better one. aurum was initially being developed for vocaloid under the name "ausgris", but this is no longer the case. aurum is based off of 1930's radio producers

Ausgris being a non-binary icon.
do you know anything about ausgris? they were meant to be a vocaloid by vocatone, and also was agender, meaning they could have beat hime and mikoto to being the first nonbinary vocaloid. i think the person who drew their boxart also drew oliver's, cause their styles look similar.
funny you mention them because aurum is actually who ausgris turned out to be! :) they are being reworked into a voice for vocatone's upcoming AI singing synthesizer, maghni AI. their name was changed from ausgris to aurum because a) aurum is easier to pronounce and b) the katakana spelling used for japanese audiences, オーグリー (ougurii) sounds/looks too much like the word "ugly" and vocatone didn't want anyone to make fun of them.
they also have a counterpart named audine! audine is described by natalia shmueli (owner of misbah studios, collaborating with vocatone) as "feminine, you can use she or they or whatever," but aurum remains explicitly agender and still uses they/them.
they are both expected to be trilingual in english, japanese in spanish, but i think the software might have options to let them sing in many different language.
this is the latest progress report released by vocatone if you're curious!
