This is one of many new mini's I painted this year. I somehow gave this one some slight possum magic vibes with the colour choice. Possum Magic is a pretty iconic book for most australian kids. I know it was one of my favorites. If you haven't seen it highly recommend a look up.
Yesterday I completed this little watercolour. Soon as I started it I wished I had painted it bigger. 😂 I loved experimenting on the rocks texture and creating a bit of a darker mooder scene than usual. Sometimes when creating certian pieces I just simply enjoy the process. Then when I am done, I am pretty suprised how far I have come as an artist. I can't even explain to people the feeling I get when I finish a piece because I always feel half way through I stuffed up somewhere. 😂 Honestly most of my art is going with my gut with things and stumbling my way to the finish line. 😂😂 Whatever gets the job done right?

I was gonna post a bunny pic but this little quokka I painted recently just made me so happy. 😂 So today you get the happiest animal in Australia.

We have hit some bad times again in WA. With a 5 day lockdown and on top of that 59 homes have been taken because of these horrible fires. Not to mention all the bush land and wildlife wiped out. It is a horrible position to be in again. My thoughts go out to all the families affected.
So I have had quite a few requests for blue wrens this year. I am actually suprised I haven't done one already. Since I love animals with bright colours. With my sudden obsession with drawing birds I thought it was only fitting.
I have been so busy lately with commissions that I have only just gotten around to completing this drawing.
So here is the bin chicken otherwise know as the ibis. I remember when I was younger looking at these beautiful creatures while they ate food scraps out of the bin at my public libary. At least we can say that they let nothing go to waste.
Did I totally forget to post these little guys? Oh I did? Well let me make up for it with double! These little fellows you will find wondering around my stall soon. I have some big plans for this season and have 99 new designs I want to introduce.
Also a super thanks to all the people that have been getting comissions. Your really keeping me busy. 😁 It is definitely helping to keep me afloat at the moment.
