Among the most fun experiences resulting from the series was not only having The Moles perform live during an Austin Jukebox show, but also getting to know Richard Davies and agreeing to release the next Moles album, the double LP “Code Word” on Super Secret Records.

One of my favorite bands of all time is Heavy Times, and when I started to try to get them to play an Austin Jukebox show, I found out they had been broken up for a year or two and were living in different parts of the country etc.,

But, luckily we were able to convince them to come in a few days early so they could rehearse, and their set is one of my favorite all-time memories of anything related to music. They played in an awesome lineup that night with Martin Rev, The Hentchmen, and Elisa Ambrogio.

The whole show was great, but especially the Heavy Times set turned out to be incredible, and I love this video I shot of one of my favorite songs by them.

Elisa Ambrogio was part of Austin Jukebox 10 on 2/17/18, and also took part in a houseshow we put it on the night before. Such a nice woman, such an incredible musician… We were lucky to have her as part of our series. The other artists playing that show were Heavy Times, Martin Rev, and the Hentchmen. Check out:
