Kim Deal spent nearly a decade recording Nobody Loves You More, pulling together ukuleles, strings, horns, Chicago sessions and collaborators connected through Steve Albini. She sounded almost surprised when I told her the album felt cohesive, but her explanation was perfect. After Pixies, The Breeders and The Amps, Kim Deal remains the common thread, even when she’s officially flying solo.
