Off to the Races||Blood Bath Task

God help her.   

Lacey woke up when it was still dark. She turned over and saw the clock read that it was 4:15. Her brain was already wide awake and unfortunately, that meant she was staying awake. She moved the kitchen, almost on autopilot and began baking. As she poured the mixture into the container, it finally hit her.

She could die today. Today of all days, a day started out pouring brownie mixture into a tin.

She could feel the tears running down her face, but she was anything but not efficient. She waited for the brownies to finish and cool, before arranging them on a plate before leaving a note in neat cursive on top.

‘Archer and Sebastian-thank you both for everything. Hopefully I shall see you soon, but if not good luck with everything and please check up on my family.’

That would have do as far goodbyes go. She couldn’t bear to face either of them again, especially Sebastian. He had been harsh, but kind.

She supposed, if she came back...she would invite them both to dinner at her house and make them a proper meal.

She didn’t bother sticking around. Instead she sniffled and locked herself in her room until she was brought down the the catacombs. Her hair was french braided down her back and her outfit was clean. She didn’t try to figure anything out from her clothes, in fact she tried to keep her mind blank. The more she analyzed, the less room she would have later.

The tube upwards was scary, being sucked upwards towards almost certain doom. It was hot and dry and there was sand.

She had never seen so much land in her whole entire life. As the timer went off she followed Sebastian’s advice, went for the nearest kit. District 10 got there fire, giving her a fierce punch to the jaw. Her lip split as she sputtered backwards and ran away from the conflict. When her first laid out plans failed, she needed time to think and to create a new plan. Water first, then food, then shelter. Lacey knew the first would be hard to find in the arid climate.

Being sick when it's 35 degrees outside sucks. I feel awful and everything hurts and my sinus' are stuffed.

when I first got to Oz Comic Con there was a guy standing near us, wearing a blue suit looking very 10-like and i turn to my friends and I'm like "TEN COSPLAYER-" before realising that he was actually a news reporter...the camera guy gave him away, apparently channel nine did a report on it? hahaha
