Eastern Blue Tongue Lizard (Tiliqua scincoides)
#3130 - Tiliqua occipitalis - Western Bluetongue
Like the other Bluetongues, a large, stout, not very agile omnivorous skink. This particular Bluetongue is found in the SW quarter of Australia, and parts of South Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales. It is listed as "Near Threatened" in Victoria and "Threatened" in NSW. Threats include foxes and cats, habitat loss, and oddly, the destruction of rabbit warrens which are very convinient lairs for the lizards.

A grumpy little Gidgee Skink to hopefully brighten your day 😊
This is an old photo taken at Sydney Zoo. Please stay home and stay safe everyone!
Paint me like one of your french girls
but hearing chris h say “ did you think you could just take what’s mine and i wouldn’t come a huntin’ ? “ is my new sexuality.
There was a special visitor to ‘The Hermitage’ today. This lizard invited himself into the bathroom. abiding-in-peace
