WE HAVE ARRIVED!
Soffía's POV
The other day I posted about the new facility, and how it has now been finished. Today the first part of our horses arrived: The stallions! We are so happy to be here. Some staff stayed behind with the rest of the horses, to make sure they were being taken care of, while Nikolette and I take care of the many, many stallions (7 of them right now).
Alongside us has also arrived our new family dog. She had been with us for about a month before the move, but mostly on short visits to get to know us, since we knew we would have to move soon, and didn't wanna put her through settling at our now old place, to have to go to the new one after a month.
Her name is Legendary's Brown Eyed Bear Cub, a almost 1 year old Aussie (Australian Sheperd) female, but we affectionally call her Bear. We got her from the breeder, as she was a leftover pup who had come back to the breeder after what was supposed to be her new family developed dog allergy (the youngest kid did), and they realized that they couldn't keep her.
Bear already loves going to the stables with me, and she just does her own stuff, while I groom or do whatever I need to do.
It's very clear Bear is used to horses. She often seek out especially Woopie, whom she has 'deep conversations' with in his stall as often as possible. We don't know much about her old owners, other than they have trained her well and she has been around horses (which was honestly a must, because of Niko and I's stable and daily work.
She even seems to enjoy riding along, when I train the horses. Horses like for example Fákur even allows her on his hind, when I am riding, and she sits very carefully and still, very mindful of not digging her claws into his butt.
Otherwise she will run around the arena and play. All in all she is a very good dog, and we are very happy to have her! We hope to add another dog to our family, when Bear is around 2 years old, but we are literally in no rush. It could be lovely for her to have a friend though that isn't a hay-eater xD
