Susan's POV
It should have been a slow start. Really should have. But when we went to pick up Ori the owner came to us/me, and asked if we would want to take Ori's dam/mother Norri as well, since they didn't have the time for her anymore. She had hurt her leg and couldn't stay as a showhorse, so she was offered to us as a broodmare.
Which of course pulled at my heartstrings, but I knew I had to talk to Soffía and Nikolette about it, before I just said yes. So I called Nikolette and asked for her opinion. She said she had to discuss it with Soffía as well, and for me to just bring Ori home and then possibly go back for Norri later.
Roland was of course excited about the option of a THIRD Finnhorse, and said that if Niko and Soffía didn't want Norri, then he would take her. So tomorrow I am going back for Norri. For now you can see Preili and Ori together with Roland.
Susan's POV
These days we are planning something new. Roland is now responsible for a new breed at Stall Norheim: the Finnhorse! We have chosen the Trotter-type of the breed, since we want to do Harness Racing with them.
For now we only have one. His name is Preili, and he is a Liver Chestnut. He will have to stay in the quarantine barn for at least the next week to make sure he doesn't make any of the other horses sick.
Roland is naturally excited about this new breed and discipline focus, since he has worked with Standardbreds and Harness Racing in the past, so bringing in Finnhorses the discipline isn't new to him. He also says that he has honestly always been more into driving than riding.
Whether he will switch completely to Harness Racing and Endurance only, or if he will stick with the two Icelandics he is currently riding and training, only time will tell. We have also bought another Finnhorse named Ori, and he will arrived some time next week.
As my moms are busy I will just post some 'older' pictures. Today it's of the barns inside and outside. First one up is the stallions' barn. Pretty big and spacious. Looks very modern from the outside, but the inside has this homey and rustic feel my moms for some reason loves. To me it doesn't really matter, as long as it's functional.
The horses are mostly outside during the summer, but is taken inside for feeding time. The tack room isn't really a room, but more of a space within. Doesn't even have a door, but at least we all have our own closets for our stuff, so that's something right?
The Mare barn is a little different. The mares live in open stalls most of the time. Though when one is heavily pregnant or has a small foal they will stay in one of the three foaling stalls, until they are ready to be introduced to the rest of the herd. It's not only a mare barn though. We have some geldings living here as well. This includes Longears and Curious George, who are both my main responsibilities right now alongside Halla.
At our old facility we didn't have grooming spaces indoors, so we had to groom outside, even in the winter and snow or do it in the stalls. I am glad that Soffía pressed to have the grooming spaces indoors though. A lot more pleasant when it's cold, which makes sense since it's mostly cold here.
And the Quarantine barn looks more or less like the stallions' barn on the inside. Every new horse who arrives to the stable stays in this barn for a month to be sure they are healthy and not carrying any diseases that are contagious and can make our own horses sick.

That's my babies! <3
It's hot as hell for both riders and horses, though especially the horses, who are used to Norway's cold weather and frequent snowing. So all horses have had their big manes braided just to make it easier to expel the heat from their bodies.
Especially Galdur was struggling, because of all the pink skin he has. Had to use sunscreen as potent as white paint to protect him from getting sunburned. He seemed to be enjoying the heat in general though, which is kinda odd, since he is born/lives in a country that has snow most of the year.
So basically all of them are braided and wearing sunscreen, and yes that includes the sims as well. No loose hair and LOTS of sunscreen was our savior at this show. And yes, multiple of us (okay, I am lying ALL of us) regretted bringing black saddles and leg protection. Especially the saddles, because we had to cover them at all time, when no sim was in it, or they would heat up like crazy. And burn us when we sat on them. Not today, Satan. Not today!

Peyton's POV
Susan - the new Stable Manager - is quick, but I was quicker! I managed to talk her into taking a proper picture for the new website by threatening to put on a very bad shot of her xD
Also just realized how big Longears is compared to itty bitty Georgie and Primrose (the dog). I have been at the stable most of the day, trying to avoid the hard math homework I got waiting for me, so don't tell my moms okay? I have even taken Primrose with me, while I was feeding horses, cleaning out stalls and all that.
Nikolette's POV
A lot has happened since the last time I updated our blog. New faces have arrived. Amongst those a camera shy staffmember, whom we of course have no pictures of yet. Hopefully I can catch her off guard one of these days. She was hired to be Stable Manager, now that I kinda have to focus on family, and keeping Soffía's spirits up - and go on late night shopping because SOMEONE is craving filur ice cream at 2 AM xD
Whom we DO have pictures of is the literally cutest pony in the world: A cute little grey guy named (Norheim's) Curious George! Soffía bought him kind of on a whim, and now we have this tiny terror in the stable. At least he will hopefully be up to keeping Longears company, since none of the FIVE mares we have seems to like that mule.
Oh! And Soffía is slowly showing! She is almost 7 months along now, and aside from some - a lot - morning sickness she is as chipper as ever. We have slowly been preparing a nursery, and as you can possibly tell we are having a girl!
So as to keep my wife as comfortable these last months I am stepping down from the blog for a little bit. Maybe I will let Peyton "run wild" with the blog until we are done with pregnancy and the first few weeks of motherhood and baby things everywhere.

Nikolette's POV
How we ended up with three Black Tobiano Icelandic mares I have no idea. The one in front is Halla, Peyton's horse, who is 2 years older than the ones in the back. And those two are from same foalcrop/year, but doesn't share parents at all. Basically these are all three from different lines and somehow we ended up with all three being Black Tobianos. That's kinda hilarious, right? xD
Nikolette's POV
Featuring: Soffía Hagen, Nikolette Hagen & Silfurfaxi frá Norheim
It's still cold AF here in Norway, but we are doing our best handling everything even with "one man down" due to my lovely wife being pregnant. She is now 6 months pregnant and not showing a whole lot just yet. I am sure we will get there at some point though, we have three to four months left to go after all. Then the next generation of the Hagen's can begin!
The snow has also disappeared, and we are happy to be able to get through the things we need to do, when we aren't knee deep in snow. Beside that a new horse has arrived! Please meet Silfurfaxi who will be a part of our breeding and showing programs.
So all in all the future seems bright!
Nikolette's POV
A new face has arrived. Not necessarily a forever one, as he is only here in training, but he will be here for awhile. Please welcome Silfurfaxi aka. Faxi! He is a Silver Bay Roan stallion, gorgeous colour who will possibly have some foals with our mares, when he has been shown some more.
He is here to get his gait buttons tuned. Which means he is slowly learning pure pace, tölt and trot, and the buttons to those gaits. I have been working with him today, and his pace is honestly pretty good.
After the training he was let into the pasture with the other stallions. He seems to take the lead in the pasture. Whether it's him being a leader, or just being the fastest, I don't know. No matter what Reimir and the others seems to like Faxi's company.

I never got around to post pictures of those sweeties individually, so here we go! Also made myself a new logo, since the old one felt outdated :D
As foals from left to right: Valka frá Norheim (Black), Sigurdrifa frá Norheim(Black Tobiano), Galdur frá Norheim(Smoky Cream), Hástígur frá Norheim (Red Roan), Heidur frá Norheim (Dark Grullo) & Reimir frá Norheim (Chestnut based Grey Tobiano).
The boys from left to right: Hástígur frá Norheim (Red Roan), Reimir frá Norheim (Chestnut based Grey Tobiano) & Galdur frá Norheim(Smoky Cream).
The girls from left to right: Valka frá Norheim (Black), Heidurfrá Norheim(Dark Grullo) and Sigurdrifa frá Norheim (Black Tobiano).
I just wanna say, these are the "newest" and youngest babies. I also have two mares who are slightly older than these above, whom I will be including in my 2026 Team as well. Those are Halla frá Norheim (Black Tobiano) and Blanda frá Norheim (Bay Dun) whom I have bred as well from my own lines!
Nikolette's POV
Today it was my baby's 13th birthday! She is becoming so big, and has come so far from the little girl with the pigtails. And today? Today she got her birthday present: her very own horse! This horse is Halla frá Norheim, a mare we have bred ourself, so it's exciting to hand her over to the next generation of Hagen women. Peyton was sooo excited to have her mare, and she just had to take her out for their very first ride, snow be damned!
Soffía is doing well, still pregnant, and often complains that she misses the horses, but well, she see them every day. Not riding though, because we both want to protect the baby. We might hire an extra stablehand soon though, since three (and a half: Peyton is at school sooo) people doing four people's job is sometimes too hard. Maybe I can talk Frederic into working part time here again.
