A genus of Crab Spider erected in 2012 by Polish arachnologist Paweł Szymkowiak, taking species previously assigned to Diaea and Xysticus, and one he described himself - Australomisidia kangarooblaszaki.
Szymkowiak has worked on other Australian crab spiders too - another of his genera is Boomerangia, but that was renamed Boomerangiana because that name was already in use for a family of nematode.
The eight species are all endemic to Australia.
