Summary:
Today, Peter was honest-to-god going to see Captain America himself up close, in person, and not from a rooftop or tiny crevice like a creepy stalker fanboy.
Even better, he was going to watch Steve Rogers make history by soldiering his beleaguered way through the most intensely awkward and honestly ridiculous press conference in the history of ever-- jaw thrust out and spine ramrod straight. Trying hard to be polite and respectful in the face of adversity.
While a bunch of assholes with cameras and microphones shouted at him about Iron Man’s adolescent dick.

“Oh,” Bucky snarled, “great.” His wrist plates clicked up and down as he shifted his grip on the damn rifle, now smeared in grit, blood, and dog spit. Dog spit. The headache pounding at his temples blossomed into a full explosion right behind his eyes. “Don’t worry,” he assured Peter, blinking back the pain, “I already blamed you way before this point.”

Summary:
Beside Natasha, Steve’s phone buzzed facedown on the table. After the last text, he’d hastily flipped the screen over and stared straight ahead like he’d been caught talking in church.
Clint nudged him with his elbow. “Better check that,” he murmured. “Could be important.”
Everyone at the table pretended they weren’t looking as Steve hesitantly turned his phone over, blushed so hard his ears looked like they’d been boiled, and slapped it back down again.
Additional Comments: This fic/podfic series starts out with Peter Parker aka Spiderman sneaking into an Avengers press conference to get a soundbite of Captain America uttering “penis” as his mobile ring tone. The story proceeds from there. :) The Stucky plot has an unusual premise: while Steve loves Bucky with the whole of his soul, body and heart, Captain America is less happy with the Winter Soldier working under his command, using not always the most non-violent approaches to problem-solving. Added into the mix is Peter Parker who has a crush on Steve and is so intimidated by Steve’s boyfriend, the Winter Soldier, that he can barely talk to Bucky. But he tries, all the time. There is a lot of (off-screen) sex. And innuendo. So much innuendo. And sexting. Natasha and Sam are the best bros ever, and Tony is the voice of reason. Yes, Tony Stark: voice of reason. Quietnight reads the series with her uncanny, ingenious knack for giving the characters different and distinct voices, perfectly suited to their personalities. Borderline hysteric teenager Peter Parker is as much a joy to listen to as deeply exasperated or smug, infatuated Bucky Barnes. Some of the scenes in these 3.5 hours of podfic will stay with me for a very long time. Already I find myself chuckling at inopportune moments, remembering baby wipes and the Twimble 69.
