Castiel steps forward. He lays one hand gently on top of Dean’s head, and one -- it’s quite a stretch -- on top of Sam’s. He closes his eyes -- and then he opens them and steps back.

“There,” he says. “It is done. You are married.”

“We’re--what?” Dean demands, and Sam says, “Hey, wait, you can’t just--”

He allows them to process. There are unlikely physical threats; there is a great deal of shouting, and no small amount of profanity. Castiel pays no attention. Precious seconds tick by, in which angelic battles could be waged, and lost, or won, except that he is not there to fight them. Finally, Dean says, “So -- that’s it?”

Castiel tilts his head, considering. “Congratulations?”

Three weeks on a boat in the South Pacific. Three weeks where Dean wouldn't be running, wouldn't be fighting, wouldn't be pushing himself into the grim, pale-faced exhaustion that had a permanent hold on him now. It was, perhaps, a somewhat extreme method of getting his brother to take a vacation. But Sam was at a point where he was ready for extreme measures.

He was wracking his brain for anything else Dean might consider an incentive (Surfing? Luaus? Umbrella drinks?) when Dean nodded abruptly, a look of firm resolve on his face.

"Okay, let's take it."

"Really?" Sam blurted out before regaining his composure with what he hoped was a subtle effort. "I mean, great! I'll order our plane tickets."

In 2006, I downloaded Boyfriend 1.0 into the unit, and problems started immediately. The Jensenbot(TM) froze and wouldn’t respond to any commands. Through instructions from an online message board, I downloaded a rainbow patch, which at least restored some of iTouch functionality. I found it worked best with the Heineken and Smirnoff add-ons. The WEED add-on worked well in the short-term but eventually did cause some corruption of the memory.

I finally deleted the heteros.exe file, and installed the Gay 2.0 operating system, and boy what a difference it made!
