I think the goal is to have LGBT ships treated the same as hetero ones. A mix of sweet, sexy, toxic, etc.

//that’s the ideal, for sure. but like if I had to pick one over the other...because I know most shows are only gonna give one, maybe two LGBT ships at best. I’ll choose the ones that feel more real and developed, even if they fall into the sad gays trope over something which feels too perfect, too bland and lifeless....which unfortunately happens to a lot of “happy” relationships on tv- even the het ones. I think of Snowing, which sometimes suffered a lack of development over the seasons. I’d rather have an LGBT ship that’s engaging than one that’s kinda forgettable, even if it means a bit more angst.
