More Sims Mobile coming at you soon, but I’m a bit burnt out after the Halloween event so I’ll be switching back to my Get A Life, Briar! story for a bit.
Enjoy!

“In a world were we are all the same, who's there to tell the difference, to stand in with individuality?”
My mastermind
First off, thank you so much for engaging with The Midford Legacy. I didn’t know anything about how to write tumblr-worthy stories when I started this legacy and I’m so happy even just a few of you enjoy it enough to like and even reply on some of my posts! Secondly, I’ll be focusing on Sims Mobile for a little bit just because I have a whole bunch of updates stored up on my phone that I need to transfer over, but the Midfords aren’t going anywhere. I just tend to store up lots of Mobile pictures and upload them to my queue all at once so that’s what you’ll be seeing for a few days, most likely.
Thirdly, I do try to keep up with my queue so there are no absent periods on my simblr but I’ve recently rescued an abandoned 5-week-old kitten who needs quite a bit of care still so I have been preoccupied with that. My family and I are caring for him in shifts so I hope to be able to do some Sim-things whenever I am not on kitten duty (but honestly I want to be on kitten-duty all the time because he’s just such an absolute joy to be around).
Maid For Your Master - Author's Notes: The City Press
First Mention: Chapter One - Page 14
The City Press is one of the to largest newspapers in Coriland. Run by Silus Hurst, the City Press is famous for its "society column" which focuses on high society gossip and noble marriages. The paper has a decidedly pro-noble slant. Anyone who is anyone reads The City Press.
Maid For Your Master - Author's Notes: Queen Tiara Lily Drossler
First Mention: Chapter One - Page 10
("Her Highness the Queenie")
Queen Tiara Lily Drossler has overseen the United Kingdom of Coriland's affairs since the unfortunate assassination of her late husband (King William Drossler the Third) seven years ago. Under her rule, Coriland has undertaken an ambitious conversion from coal to clean steam-ore energy.
Queen Tiara has distinguished herself amongst the rules of our generation for her generosity towards the common folk. Her tireless efforts have brought us numerous social programs including: Familial Unemployment Benefits, the Veteran's of War Medical and Mental Health Network, and the right for women to vote. Her Steamworks factories are not only safer for workers than the old industrial complexes but have stringent mandatory break times and provide free daycare. Truly, we are ever so fortunate to have such a benevolent and charismatic leader who rose from the common folk to become a shining example of how a ruler should care for her people.
Also, she absolutely did not kill her husband. That is a vicious lie.
(This summary is brought to you by Queen Tiara's publicist)
Maid For Your Master - Author's Notes: Illestrad
First Mention: Chapter One - Page 8
The capital city of the United Kingdom of Coriland. Famed for it's extensive use of clean steam-ore energy, it is widely considered to be one of the most technologically advanced metropolitan centers in the world.
Pronounced: "ill-es-tr-odd" with three syllables
Maid For Your Master - Author's Notes: Seasons
First mention: Chapter One - Page 3
The United Kingdom of Coriland does not have named months of the year (though 30 days periods are still called "months" in reference to the lunar cycles). Instead, their calendar is divided into four named "seasons". Each season is about ninty to ninty-two days long. Approximate equivalents to our world are: Snow season - (Winter) January-March (90 days), Melt season - (Spring) April-June (92 days), Heat season - (Summer) July-September (91 days), Rain season - (Fall) October-December (92 days).
I only did this just to make things unnecessarily complicated. I take great joy in annoying people because I am a cat.
Maid For Your Master - Author's Notes: Shadowhounds
First Mention: Prologue - Page 2
Answering only to the Dark One, these monstrous beasts, crafted from the shadows and magma deep in the belly of the world, are notoriously vicious. Their saliva is said to have incredible healing properties, allowing them to devour their victims multiple times without the relief of death.
