Elevate Your Car Parking with Wohr
Insufficient parking space and excess traffic on the roads have become areas of concern in a majority of Indian cities for a while now. Almost every middle-class family in the country owns a car now with rising urban incomes, easy access to finance, and affordable cars being introduced to the market. People from the more affluent strata of society own 2 or more cars - resulting in the exponential growth in vehicle numbers.
The acute shortage of parking spaces and the Indian habit of parking on roads ends up resulting in narrower lanes that hinder the flow of traffic and make it difficult for public transport to traverse roads.
Elevator Car Parking Systems
Multilevel car parking systems are a solid solution for India’s parking woes. These are automatic car parking systems that offer a significantly safe, easy-to-use and effective alternative to drivers and property owners.
Elevator car parking systems provide a variety of benefits such as:
Land Savings
The use of automated car parking systems can save you a significant amount of land as they are installed vertically and occupy a much smaller footprint.
The capacity of these systems to park cars door-to-door, bumper-to-bumper right next to each other allows multilevel car parking systems to occupy even lesser space. Further space savings are realised as there is no need for stairwells or ramps. Environmental Savings
Another benefit of automatic car parking systems is the lower emissions and reduced fuel consumption they result in. There is no need for the cars to idle for long periods of time or for driving up and down ramps. The cars are turned off as soon as they enter the parking bay.
Safety & Security
When using an automated car parking system, the driver just drops off the vehicle at some convenient well-lit drive-in area. The hydraulic car elevator transports the vehicle safely to a vacant parking spot. When retrieving the vehicle, the driver waits in a safe pick-up area until the car is moved and delivered.
The car itself is also safer in an automated multilevel parking system - with no pedestrians, bad drivers and valets, the risk of damage and vandalism is minimized.
Low Maintenance Costs
Most multilevel car parking systems come with a lifespan of more than 20 years - given the advanced technology these systems utilise. The operating costs of these systems are low and they require minimal maintenance. An effective AMC with regular servicing can even extend the life of your parking system.
Wohr’s Automatic Parking Systems

The slim construction contours of this system allow for its incorporation into a soundproof wall. This helps protect the resident of housing areas against nearby road and rail traffic noise. Any narrow gaps can be utilised for additional parking spaces.
Highlights
● Automatic parking system that can hold up to 23 cars
● Carrying capacity per platform available - 2000kg and 2600kg.
● Narrow gaps are perfectly closed
● Reduced ground plan and very slim construction

ELEVATOR CAR PARKING SYSTEMS FOR INDIA’S PARKING PROBLEMS
Traffic on the roads and insufficient parking space have been areas of concern in most Indian cities for some years now. With rising urban incomes, easy finance and affordable cars launching in the market, almost every middle-class family owns a car. The more affluent own 2 or more cars - all adding to the exponential rise in vehicular population.
Shortage of parking space and the Indian preference for parking on roads results in narrower lanes, hindering the flow of traffic and making it impossible for public transport.
Elevator car parking systems
Multi-level car parking system (MLCPS) offers a sound solution for India's parking problems. These automated parking systems offer a safe, easy-to-use and efficient alternative for drivers and property owners.
Elevator car parking offers a variety of benefits. These include:
Land savings
Automated car parking systems help you save a substantial amount of land.As they are constructed vertically, they occupy a much smaller footprint.
Besides, the ability to park cars door-to-door and bumper-to-bumper allows these multilevel car parking systems to use even lesser space. There is non eed for stairwells, ramps, elevators so that saves space further.
Environmental savings
Automatic car parking systems mean lower car emissions and reduced fuel consumption. Cars are turned off as soon as they enter the parking bay - there is no need to idle for long periods or drive up and down ramps.
Safety & security
In an automated car parking system, the driver simply drops off the vehicle at a convenient, well-lit drive-in cabin or zone. The car hydraulic elevator carries the vehicle safely to the vacant parking spot. When returning, the driver waits in the safe, pick-up zone until the car is retrieved and delivered.
Even the car is safer in an automated multilevel system. With no pedestrians, bad drivers/valets and inattentive parking attendants, there is no risk of dents, scrapes and such damage.
Low running &maintenance costs
Given the advanced technology being used for parking systems, most multilevel car parking systems have a life span of 20+ years. Operating costs are low, and they require little maintenance. A good AMC that offers regular servicing can even increase the life of the system.
How automatic car parking works
1. The outer door of the parking facility will open automatically by identifying the vehicle via an automated identification system such as transponder or RFID. The system identifies the car and allows the transfer area door to open. The driver drives into the transfer area. He may need to position the vehicle as per directions.
2. The driver exits the car and leaves the transfer cabin. Once he is safely clear of the area, and has confirmed by pressing 'enter' on the control screen, the transfer area door closes. The car elevator lifts the car to the level with vacant parking space. Here, pallets transfer the car laterally to the designated space for storage.
3. To retrieve the vehicle, the driver will swipe an ID card of some kind. The car will be retrieved from its place, transferred laterally to the car elevator, and brought down. Once safely positioned in the transfer area, the transfer area door will open to allow the driver to get inside his car and drive out.
