Cathedral of San Jose, Antigua on Flickr.
Favourited 18 times Via Flickr: The ruins of part the Cathedral of San Jose, Antigua, Gautemala. The cathedral, and much of the town, was destroyed by a series of earthquakes in 1773, and the city was officially abandoned. Antigua had been the capital of Guatemala (which then comprised most of Central America), but after the earthquakes the capital was moved to the modern day Guatemala City.
