He sees you Clown.
He gives the child a little piece of candy. ❝Our secret, yes? Shurorororo. ~❞
“Oh?”
Lamy looked at the brightly wrapped candy in the scientist’s hand with big eyes. She had to swallow down the saliva forming in her mouth as she took it from him. Sweets had become oh-so rare ever since the fall of Flevance… thankfully, Doctor Vegapunk had rescued her from the inferno of her former home, promising her and the other surviving children a swift recovery from the fearsome sickness raging in their systems.
And Doctor Clown, she thought, was the nicest of all the doctors — the steady stream of candy he always offered her not a bad method of getting into her good graces.
“Thank you, Doctor Yagi-Sama!” She smiled, unwrapping it greedily and stuffing it into her mouth. Weird, Lamy thought, how she never seemed to be able to resist the pink bonbons whenever they were in sight…

Before her predicament upon this island, Sahar led a privileged life. One that allowed her to be in the presence of some of the world’s leading minds in her field. Some were arrogant in their mannerisms and bluntly made it known that they never thought highly of her due to her background and her gender, both of which were out of her own control. And while when she was younger, such cold treatment from a mentor would have caused her to be more closed off in asking questions, she knew that her master would never be truly evil with his intentions, especially since he had pushed for her learn more.
Sahar never understood the concepts behind chemistry, which is something that had tried to change with studying various types of work within the chemistry field, but to her disappointment never could properly understand the concepts. To her, performing an experiment without the entire concept understood would be a cause for concern, particularly since there could be negative ramifications as a result of her ignorance.
Plus, where was she supposed to perform her experiments? Surely, he hadn’t meant his lab. From the beginning of her stay here, Caesar’s lab had been off limits to only a select few, a group she was not part of.
Gulping softly, ❝ Where would I be able to practice these experiments, Master? I wouldn’t want to impose on you since your labs are used for more advanced experiments. ❞

“Hm... Interesting...” Arya sat at her table, eyes drifting over various notes she’d taken. The young woman had been testing a paralysis compound in her spare time when she wasn’t helping the Master. Every test she’d tried on her subjects though resulted in instant death or lack of feeling. Nothing like what she wanted at all.
“Damn. I’ll have to start at square one again...” She said, her voice quiet as she stood up and glanced at the clock. “Oh my, I’d best take care of that paperwork before Master returns...”

Unfortunately, judging by appearance was a matter of survival for her because it differed demons from her comrades. Her enemies also look like humans. Alice's features soften just a bit for a split second, as she is just a little guilty for her behavior, but nonetheless, she's still suspicious about his whereabouts and intentions. What was most important, if he was a friend or an enemy --- after clearing that, she could continue on with acquaintance. Maybe.
«Not only the horns, but your whole body looks funny to say the least. You look like...those demons I have to fight on daily basis. »
There's a look of distrust on her face, though her curiosity is actually piqued at this point, which means she won't (most likely) run away instantly at least for now. After all, dismissing the possibility of learning something new is stupid, so she won't let the chance slip away from her.
«Well, I'm looking like a human, and you're not. It's not rude, just a matter of fact. Just a fact, I mean, nothing else. Why would you consider it rude if it's a mere constatation and nothing more?»
