oh hi thank you!!!
4. what do you wish you could tell your past self?
i think i would tell myself that it’s okay to not be out or even completely comfortable with my identity right away. coming out is a process and some people wait longer than others--that isn’t anything to be ashamed of and it doesn’t alienate you from the LGBT+ community.
15. are you comfortable with yourself?
in terms of sexuality, not quite yet but im working on it!! i’ve known that i’m bi since i was 11 (im 18 now) and i still feel a little weird about it. my family really liked jokes about butch or masculine lesbians when i was growing up, and they’ve changed and i love them, but i’m still incredibly insecure about not presenting feminine enough for their standards and everyone else’s.
27. tell me a random fact about yourself?
i’ll be done with my freshman yr at dartmouth college in three days :~)
30. any advice to someone who isn’t out or who is exploring themselves?
everyone is different! you are allowed to “try on” multiple labels, you can come out whenever you want to whoever you want, it’s totally okay! trust your gut and take this part of your life at your own pace. i didn’t come out to my family until i left for college and it was fine. prioritize your comfort and safety!
