What a spiky man. He could roast marshmallows with that hair! Anubis was tempted to try it out. Though the problem was, he didn’t have anyone to defend him if he offended the strange man. He will have to wait it out.

@auzare liked your post “starter call!”
“So whaddya think, Atem? This is the deck I’ve been workin’ on for Nationals. An’ the other one’s for the local tourney.”
He had gone to visit his ancient friend for some deck-building advice. He was going to compete in the at a local Duel Monsters tournament, but he was aiming Nationals at a chance to compete with the more higher leveled duelists.
It’s not often that Hao actually leaves his place within the society of the Great Spirit, much less in physical form. In most situations he’s only come out to fix some mess of his relatives’, or to merely check in on things in person (spirit).
How Atem had managed to talk him into this little venture was still beyond him.
By some miracle he hadn’t ditched the other male at the last moment. A coffee shop became the meeting location, and with Hao being the first one there it meant that the table selected for the two of them ended up being the furthest to the back—away from the few others that were currently enjoying their drinks.
And though he doubted that Atem would stand him up, he hoped that the other would at least arrive soon. The last thing he needed was someone in this shop trying to strike up a conversation with him.

“You look lost.” Ken couldn’t help but comment as he saw the other, noting that the mysterious male before him didn’t look familiar to him in any way. It wasn’t like the former emperor knew everyone in the city, but this person just stood out in a strange way. “Do you need help?”
auzare replied to your post: about to get started on things ( for real ). but...
surely the bank offers protection against that? not sure how it works in the states (or wherever you are), but i know banks here do
we have it here in the states but it’s not perfect. most of the time, we can get our money back. the therapist i work with has had thousands stolen from him before but always managed to get it back. so has my younger sister.
i just hope i don’t have to open a new account. i think whoever it is has my account number so it looks like i might have to open a new one.

“Just to be perfectly honest... this is pretty idiotic.” Not that Hao had expected a haunted house to actually thrill him. October was always an interesting time of year, but also one that felt somewhat lackluster. Scary ghost stories held little excitement when such things occupied his life daily. “I mean, I can clearly see a guy hiding under the table under there.”

“Hey, Atem. What’s up?”
It was their usual time to hangout and catch up on things. But something was...different. Jou came fashionably late on his bike, as usually and had a little difficulty chaining it to the bike post.
There was something, off about Jounouchi today. His smile seemed a little vacant.
More obviously though, were the number of bandages on his face and fingers and the scuffs and scratches uncovered still.
“Sorry I’m late, traffic was terrible. They’re doin’ construction by my house and gettin’ over there’s a real pain.”
