ALTERNATE VERSE : AVA BIRD, THE GRIZZLY BEAR
⭑ ava serves as a defenseman on highschool hockey team, grizzlies. she's good at what she does, but she struggles with imposter syndrome — everyone else is so much better, how the fuck did she get here ??? the team ends up hitching a flight for a national tournament, only to crash, leaving the girls to survive on their own with little to no guidance. ⭑ ava would prove to be difficult, as she is not built to last. but she manages to survive until they're rescued. she is never the same again, and, after having to eat a teammate or two, she grows up with the craving for flesh. she fights this desire tooth and nail, but is never able to leave it behind. ⭑ as an adult, ava no longer plays sports at all. despite a promising career and being poised, she would shutdown, becoming mute for years, while battling alcoholism, and later homelessness due to instability. she would inherit her family's home, and her siblings would agree to allow her to live there if she stays relatively clean. she does, and refuses to leave the house unless to visit her favorite dive bar. ⭑ older faceclaim is robin tunney <3
