Rejoin {Hyo&Avan}

A wide smile spread across ruby lips when her eyes fell upon the back of Avan’s head. She would know that hair anywhere, so there was no doubt he was sat there, her presence known to him. Oddly enough, there was a pang of guilt for having gone so long without seeing him, but even vampires needed vacations, Hyolyn’s just happened to have taken longer than she originally expected.

She was prepared for the reunion, oddly enough. She had just gotten back so she had wanted to make an impression, her hair having returned to its original raven black, sitting nicely against the burgundy figure-hugging dress, all offset with thigh-high black leather boots and a large faux leopard fur coat. She always did go all out when it came to fashion, especially during the winter months.

Without a word, she closed the distance between them, long black stiletto nails combing through the back of his hair, starting off soft, almost loving, but quickly changing to more of a grab, forcefully yanking his head back as she leaned down to his level, lips barely skimming the surface of neck, a cold breath exhaling as she made her way up to his ear.

“Long time no see, handsome~.”

Avan was rarely in a foul mood, he normally decided to take the high road and calm himself down, do some meditating if necessary to get out the negativity. Not tonight, apparently. He was stuck in a crowd of obnoxious people and nothing pissed him off more than the pride of humans. He snarled and crossed his arms, scanning the crowd with his eyes. So many unfamiliar faces, one he recognized. Not far from him was the vampire from the academy, one whose company he had sort of missed. She was different.

At least different enough for him to start moving to her direction, he felt like the thing they shared was their spontaneous behavior so he wasn’t exactly worried his ass would be kicked. If that happened, though, he’d just have to appreciate her that much more. “Hey” he grumbled his greeting breathily, having bumped into people on the way like a proper jackass. Minor payback. He didn’t wait for a word back but instead leaned in, pressing his lips on hers with a little too much force in his aggression, lightly pressing his palm against her jaw. Sorry.

She had been, for the most part, minding her own business. That was if minding her own business involved trying to seduce humans into being her next meal.Though, she hadn’t exactly been trying and was more so just enjoying the music that was pumping through the speakers. It wasn’t completely horrible, for once. 

Her attention moved to a familiar face, amusement colouring her features when she noticed he had actually shoved a few of the people around her aside. “Ooooh, someone’s in a bad mood.” Unfortunately, she didn’t have the chance to retaliate when it came to his rather sour looking face. Instead, she was gifted with the press of a rather soft pair of lips against her own. She couldn’t complain, especially not when there was that small hint of anger behind them. She always was weak for a nice rough kiss, and while it wasn’t exactly rough, it was something to go off of. He had potential.

Unknown to herself, her hand had managed to tangle itself in the mass of hair at the nape of his neck, that same look of amusement playing on her lips as her free hand came up to wipe away the lipstick that had smudged on his upper lip. 

“I was wondering when you’d get the balls to do that. Took longer than I thought, congrats.”

After not seeing the sun in days, the little rays that had come to play after clouds disappeared were very welcomed. Avan had an arm around her smaller form, comfortable wrapped up in a large blanket as they sat on a bench that was placed on a path on higher ground to give them a pretty view. For once they were calmer than usually, quieter too. It was a nice change. While he wasn’t sure this was something she enjoyed doing, this definitely was something he did. It helped him to reflect on himself, watching the nature do its thing. Who know they could have an actual, peaceful moment. Which would probably be broken once one of them said something.

The hows and whys of their sudden cuddly mood were not important anymore-- it simply happened and Faybelle was not gonna complain about it. She wouldn’t admit Avan has that power over her, to make her stay put even for a short amount of time, but she wouldn’t complain either; being quiet was good sometimes. Of course they have been bickering here and there, even when sharing the blanket, but as soon as glimpses of light started to show behind the mountains, Fay got mesmerized and almost unconsciously curled up on the bench against him (yeah almost, there is no lie on stating she actually likes skinship despite how apathetic she is). Resting her head on his shoulder, she even reached up to the other side of his head, arm slightly hugging his neck as pretty well manicured nails soothingly scratched his scalp. Her eyes fluttered softly while staring to the horizon and she couldn’t help the soft smile across her lips as she got lost on her thoughts-- this was nice, all of it, at least for a while.

Surprised? Yes. Shocked? Definitely not. This was a good start for his kiss list. And yes, he was one of those douches who might keep one. He welcomed the kiss without any resistance, lingering in it for a second ( had she expected that? ), before he leaned back from it wearing a gentle smirk. Head tilted as he attempted figuring out where that’d come from. “I agree good looking people should make out.”

Her kiss was impulsive and very much aggressive, indeed. And to be honest it was amusing that he was caught by surprise, and even more that he rolled with it-- but to be fair square, did he really had any option? Not really. Fay’s demeanor has always been to get what she wants and with her charms that’s not really very hard on most people-- she just felt like it, mostly because he was being a pain in the ass and she ran out of argument. She couldn’t deny it, his lips sent a slight shiver down her spine but in no world she would admit to him how attractive she actually found him. “Who said you’re good looking?” She said smirking nonchalantly and ran a hand through her hair. “That was just free token, don’t get used to it.”

‘ we’ll figure it out together. ’

“You’re just saying that to keep me half dressed for longer. It’s so difficult to pick out something that goes with blonde.. Black hair was so much easier.” She frowned into her closet as if something was going to magically appear for her to wear. She had spent the last fifteen minutes trying to pick out a top for herself, ultimately deciding that nothing she had would go with her blonde hair. Everything was either too cute or too sexy. She wanted something in between. No enough to draw in too much attention, but still enough to get herself noticed.

“I want something purple... Like a royal purple, but I only own gowns and dresses that colour, no tops.” She tore her eyes from the wardrobe, delicate hands undoing the buttons on another top and throwing it off before straddling herself on Avan’s lap. “You’re making yourself way too comfortable on my bed, you know.” Laughing, she leaned down for a kiss, half rolling off him to look up at her ceiling. “Do you have anything? You have to have something purple.”

2. is there a song that reminds you of your muse?Most recently it’s been Ariana Grande’s God is a Woman. I don’t really listen to her music, but when I heard that song Hyo instantly came to mind. Anything about empowering women just resonates with Hyo.

3. how do you get yourself out of a writing funk?I tend to just take a break and not think about it for a while. I find that if I pause and do something else like paint/draw/do makeup I get more inspiration because I’m not forcing myself into one single creative outlet. 

10. talk about your writing.I feel like my writing, much like myself, very impulsive and sporadic. It can either be something good and something I’m really happy with or something that takes me hours to do. Luckily Hyo is always an inspiring kind of muse. I’ve had her for like... 4 years now, so I’ve kind of gotten in a groove with her and figured out what she wants/I want to do with her. By now she just comes out naturally, so I’m really fucked if I ever decide to add on another character because I’m one of those people that can create X amount of characters and never quite fully develope them like I have with Hyo.

23. anything spooky happen this week?I mean, I don’t really think it’s spooky, but it could fall under this. Anyway, I live in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere and am surrounded by fields filled with cows. They play into it because I decided to go into the empty field next to my house with one of my dogs because he’s a nosy little shit. Anyway, turns out this field is connected to another field, which is also empty, so we go in there. Next thing I’m about halfway into this field and I hear the sound of hooves on dry ground. Not like, one single cow, but a whole herd of over twenty cows in the next field over come rushing towards me and I’m standing there thinking they’re going to jump the hedge between fields or some shit, but they just stop and stare at me. IT’S SO UNNERVING TO HAVE A BUNCH OF COWS LOOKING AT YOU WHILE YOUR DOG GIVES NO FUCKS.

24. share a funny story.

So, I think we’ve established that I have a pretty stupid dog. He also happens to be a coward that’s afraid of literally everything, except for the one thing every dog on this earth is known for being terrified of. Thunder and lightning. For some reason he absolutely loves it. The funny thing is his reaction to it. Obviously, he barks at it like any sane dog would, but he tries to run after it, too. Every time there’s a thunderstorm he runs around the garden, barking and bouncing off in the direction the thunder came from like HE’S TRYING TO CATCH IT OR SOMETHING. He does the exact same thing with birds on phone lines that are twenty plus feet in the air. He sits right underneath them, barking and jumping like he’ll actually catch them. Istg he doesn’t realise he’s a terrier and is less than a foot tall.

The Dead Love Company. {Hyo&Avan}

Having been lost in thought, the vampire was pulled from her trance by the weight of one rather large ragdoll cat plopping onto her chest, purring and kneading his paws against her ribs as if he had every right to do so. He did, obviously, but Hyolyn was quite enjoying her almost sleeplike trance. Yet, she couldn’t not smile at her special man, her hand leaving her pillow to stroke through his fur, the vibrations of his purring hitting her chest in a rather soothing way.

“You’re hungry, huh?” A question answered by the cat jumping from her chest to scurry over to his bowl, amber eyes staring at her in a request for food. “You’re so demanding~” She laughed, raising from her bed to pour out a handful of dried food. She turned her head to look towards the clock on her wall, a rather disapproving expression covering her face when she saw it had on just passed 3:30am. Was there anyone in this school awake at this hour other than her?

Her thoughts crossed over to Avan. He was the closest in terms of distance, so it was worth a try? Even if she did wake him, she was sure he wouldn’t mind spending a few hours with her. She didn’t bother with shoes, simply slipping on a pair of shorts so she wasn’tliterally half naked at his door in the middle of the night before she made her way out, leaving her animals behind in search of company that was a bit better with conversation. Afterall, dogs and cats couldn’t really speak, as much as she would have liked them to.

Without a moment of hesitation, her hand came down on his door, patiently waiting to see if she would get a reply.
