most situations. nick’s always been an easy liar, fluid and natural, automatic as breathing. as a younger person, he let the lies flow, billowing out whenever he let his mouth open, because it was just so easy. he tries to control himself more now, if only for isla’s sake, but it still happens -- more of the lying by omission, which is his omnipresent state.
