to the avecko anon, i haven’t had a personal experience with them myself but from reading reviews and looking at how they work, i’ve seen multiple cases where shipping came out too high and communication with them is apparently very so-so and/or disappointing. on one review, avecko didn’t even inform the buyer on certain items being sold out! again, not sure how they are now but just trying to make sure buyers stay safe and know what they’re getting into! ^^
tl;dr: their communication is totally horrible, ignored my messages for over a month, i still haven’t gotten any replies, i still don’t have my items.
hello my lovely followers!! i’m not sure how many of you have read previous asks about korean shopping services i’ve had or my previous avecko review, but you might know i’ve talked about avecko / recommended them in the past. i hate to rant but i feel like i have no choice since i've actually recommended people to use this service before.
let’s just say their service has gone completely, completely downhill. i talked about communication issues in the linked review but they made it seem like a one time thing, and since i have good experiences in the past (and at the time i hadn’t found out about other shopping services) so i ordered again.
i paid for my items, the items arrived on the 8th of december, and they sent me the shipping payment page. it was just over 2kg so they said they could only use ems, but i wasn’t going to be at home for a couple weeks (and ems usually arrives within 2 to 5 days) so i asked if it would possible to ship two parcels via air mail instead or hold it for a few days (i was scared that if it arrived and no one was home for 2 weeks, they would end up sending it back)
they totally ignored me. today is the 7th of january so they’ve ignored me for a month now. then the shipping payment page wasn’t even available, so i couldn’t even pay when i wanted to. i’ve sent 7 emails since and none of them have been acknowledged. i wouldn’t have even cared if they just said ‘no we can’t do that’, i’ve requested shipping methods from companies before and they would just say ‘sorry we can’t, due to our systems / etc’, but no with avecko i don’t even get a reply. so i’ve just filed a paypal dispute so i can at least get my money back.
combined with the previous communication issues from my last order, this order, and what other people have told me about their communication (basically the same thing, they got ignored after they paid for their items), it seems like their communication will not improve, and i see no reason to ever use avecko again. there is no reason that i should have to wait over a month to get a reply for anything, that is just ridiculous.
anyway, sorry for sounding angry but i am seriously frustrated. i just ordered a planner and a few books and i wanted them before the new year is that too much to ask ㅠㅠ if you still want to use a korean shopping service, a few people have recommend korean buddy to me.
overall, if you want to buy stuff from korea and you actually want to receive your items, don’t use avecko!!!
