Sleep!
Namor walks into her home, silently judging has he enters. “It was most magnanimous of you to allow me to stay here for the night.”
Natasha closes and locks the door behind him. “It’s nothing.”
She joins him where his stands surveying her living room.
“Everything up to royal standard?”
“Yes, You have excellent taste.”
Natasha smirks and rolls her eyes slightly. “Come on, I assume you haven’t eaten yet.”
Dinner ends up being made by Namor. She’d just wanted to know how done he wanted his salmon and before she knew it she was seated at her kitchen table with a glass of wine watching him cook. She wasn’t complaining, less for her to do and the view was good. Turns out he actually knew what he was doing as he placed two plates and nicely cooked salmon and salad on the table. She took a bite. Yeah he was allowed to cook again. They ate in comfortable silence, the sort that happens when two people don’t feel the need to entertain each other. It was….nice.
After dinner they did shockingly, paperwork. Work never really stays at Work. Natasha, seated at a table, her papers in neat piles and Namor seated in front of the table table his papers spread all over it. It all happened again, in a comfortable silence. Well, expect for Namor’s almost constant “tch”s and snorts. Even those were sort of nice. His presence filled the place, it seemed like another place entire with him here. She supposed that went with being a king.
When it was time to sleep she show him the guest bedroom and told him to wake her if he needed anything. The usual pleasantries, neither actually gave a shit about them. As she was about to leave for her own room he turned to her.
“Really, thank you.”
“It’s nothing” her face perfectly neutral. though as she walks away she smirks.
Looks like miracles do exist.
