'he would put them in a house surrounded by a moat' reminded me of what I used to do when I played sims as a kid. which was I'd make a house with a bunch of small rooms with things to draw neighbor sims in and once there was someone inside the room, I would delete the doors into it and add windows to every single wall. they had a toilet, a bed, a snack vending machine, and a trash bin. I did this for as many neighbor sims as I could.
the owner of the house was a little old lady that I made look as much like a witch as possible, and her pet black cat. the little witch lady was caretaker of the people in the people zoo.
