It is!  Because I love her and I think that scene is beautiful, both the unique visual style and the interaction.  Usagi is just broken-hearted and feels completely helpless and alone and even though Makoto is a misty coloured-pencil ghost she reaches out to touch her and to comfort her and it works, because Makoto Kino is the world’s most comforting and encouraging person.  I’m sure that even as a ghost in an Arctic blizzard she feels warm.  All of them love Usagi and support her and that’s what gets her back on her feet and determined to succeed for all of them, but Makoto’s the one who expresses it in that most direct and kindly way, putting her hand on her shoulder when she’s sitting on the ground crying and looking at her with such love and confidence in her eyes.  Aw flip, I’m crying about it now.

are you paid enough to live out there on your own? I just started a zoo management program and I’m interested in international jobs after but worried that I won’t be able to support myself on just one job (the struggle of working with animals lol)

Yes -- but I think that’s just because of where I am located. The pay is no more than you would get for most zookeeping work, but rent here is cheap. For instance, my place, which is essentially a three bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, has all utilities included and it is a fourth of what I paid monthly for my one-bedroom apartment in California without utilities. Mind, California is a very expensive place to live, but still. It kind of blew my mind. And I really only spend money on groceries every couple of weeks... so I’m pretty much just saving up. I do get pretty frequent tips, too. 

As you already know, our line of work will never pay much at all. I am extremely fortunate that I have sources of support that have enabled me to pursue my dream career despite that, but most of my friends in the field struggle a lot with it. I definitely wish you luck!
