No Bonds To Break || averbisadxverbera and uchihapet
uchihapet: The onyx eyes were fixated on on the bumps and curves of his dark ceiling, trying to keep his wondering thoughts from the depths of darkness. It had been two months since Sasuke stumbled into this universe, two miserable, sad months. At first he was intrigued, he’d never thought alternative universes were possible, but the longer he stayed that further he fell into despair. All the things he had lost, all the hurt that has happened in this world left his mind muddled. When Tsunade finally decided she believe him, after much prodding and poking to his brain, the Hokage filled him in on the current situation of this world; on his counterpart. That was the first time this Uchiha had ever experience heartbreak; his clan, his parents, his brother, all dead. Just being alive made him feel like his body was being consumed by fire. His counterpart had hate to hold on to, a purpose in this world; to avenge. Sasuke had nothing, not a friend around to be a shoulder for his sorrows, no one to be angry at. This place was filled with doppelgangers, shadows of people he used to know.
Nobody could explain why he was here, and not in his own universe, it seemed like unrealistic science fiction. After three weeks of heavy observation, byakugans looking in his brain, and many hours of being under truth jutsus; they heads of the village started to believe he might not be this worlds Uchiha Sasuke. He was sent back ‘home’, to stay at this counterparts apartment, but refused to be anywhere but the Uchiha compound. Currently he was living under two conditions, that he would not leave the village, and he would agree to a caretaker. Not that he had much choice in the matter. It had been two months, and the depression kept him confined to his home. In that sense, the raven was glad he had a caretaker, whoever it was usually kept him fed. They usually changed biweekly, as no shinobi had indefinite time to spear watching a depressed Uchiha.
Remembering today there would once again be a change, he groaned at the thought. He quite liked the Nara kid, he just let him sit there and do whatever he wanted without hassle; unlike his own worlds Shikamaru. Laying under the comforting sheets, as he had been for weeks, he silently hoped they would be a good cook.
averbisadxverbera: “S-S-Sasu—Sasuke—?! I’ll h-have to— eh?!”, the bluenette frowned, clearing her throat.
The woman nodded firmly. “Yes, Hinata-sama. Any problem?” Tsunade asked, crossing her arms over her breasts and lifting her chin a little at the Hyuga girl.
“N-No pr-problem, T-Tsunade-sama… it’s j-just that— I— I d-don’t— I don’t qu-quite know h-how to deal with th-this— I—” Hinata stuttered, gesturing nervously with her pale, cold-sweating hands.
“Thenlearn how to deal with this, sweetheart. Go.” the Hokage said, placing her hands on Hinata’s shoulders and turning the heiress to the door of her office and giving the girl’s back little taps, motivating her to walk towards the door.
“B-But I d-don’t know wh-where he—!”, she was cut off by the blonde.
“He’s at the Uchiha compound. Good luck, darling.” Tsunade said with a hand on her hip, once before closing the door and leaving Hinata outside.
The girl sighed heavily with the sight of the Uchiha compound. She was a little far from it, but still, she couldn’t defer it anymore in any way. Not because it was Sasuke, but because she was going to be his caretaker. And it meant he was over her responsibility and… And if something gone wrong? What would she do?! She was nervous, crackling her joints as she approached the guy’s clan complex. With trembling hands, the girl rang the house’s bell, waiting for an answer in jitters.
Well, she was only a few of the persons that didn’t doubted him from the start. She kinda believed him, even if in other’s mind it was completely crazy stuff. Hinata bit her lower lip, looking to the ground with her hands behind her, crossing fingers and closing her eyes tight. “Pl-Please… give me good luck.” she prayed, opening her eyes and raising her eyebrows lightly. The heiress ran a hand through her blue hair slightly pulling it in impatience, frantically stomping.
After a while, she heard a noise—that scared her a bit—before the gates slid open. She stepped in with hesitation, walking with small and trembling footsteps through the rain that now had started to fall. Entering the house by a random door, the girl shook her body lightly to remove the little amount of water that dropped on her clothes a while before.
Her lavender eyes looked up once before looking down again in distraction, then looked up again just to certificate that she saw the right thing. There, in front of her, stood up a Sasuke. And, what looked like, a sad Sasuke… The indigo haired girl tilted her head, sighing softly and smiling to him. “H-H-Hello S-Sasuke— I’m— I will— I’ll b-be your caret-taker for n-now…” she paused, looking around what looked like the living room. “B-By the way, I’m H-Hinata Hyuga… I s-suppose you a-already know m-me but… well… I m-may be a little di-different of the “me” you k-know,” she chuckled, smiling kindly to him. “S-So… How a-are w-we today—?” she asked, a rosy tone addressed to her cheeks while she analyzed the guy carefully. To be honest, he didn’t seem like the most fine person of the world. At least, not today. And soon she regretted asking that question. The pale-skinned pressed her white lips together, looking away. “U-Uh… S-So…” she took a quick look at the watch wrapped around her wrist. “It’s— It’s pr-pretty close to 11am… d-do you want m-me to pr-prepare s-something?”
uchihapet: A sudden ringing snapped the Uchiha out of his dark thoughts. He groaned at the thought of having to leave his warm, safe bed; Sasuke groaned at everything recently. Life may not have always been easy for him, constantly in the shadow of Itachi, but it had been his lifedamn it. Staying in bed gave him hope he would wake up, that this was just a nightmare. Leaving the bed, meeting new people with old faces, just shot him back into reality. Although, he wasn’t sure what reality was anymore.
Grudgingly, he propped himself up- using his arm as a kickstand- and slid off the mattress. Two months of rarely leaving his room and little food had left his body weak. His muscles ached every time he moved, his skin was covered in bed sores; certainly in the worse shape of his life. Limping towards the bedroom door, the simple task of turning the knob had his arm screaming in pain. All I need to do is get to that damn button, the raven chanted to himself. Simple things like this had suddenly become the bane of his existence, pressing the button to open the gates was that much more of a burden on his heavy shoulders.
The onyx orbs grew wide with excitement as the switch reach his sight. Simple things like this had become his life pleasures, the sooner he got to go back to moping; the better. Lying in despair had become the reason for his existence, and that’s how he planned to live the rest of his life if he was going to be stuck in this world. Pushing the button, he could have cried tears of joy; one less thing weighing on him. Sasuke slumped against the wall in front of the main entrance to his home, conveniently next to the button. The pressure released off his- what felt like ancient- bones, made him sink further into depression; that this is what life has become.
Hearing footsteps approaching the door, he quickly shifted his body so he was once again standing up. He wanted to make a small attempt at not looking like a sad mess, everyone already had a bad impression of him, he felt no reason to make it worse. As the presumed caretaker walked through the door, the first thing to catch his eye was the characteristic indigo hair. No… it can’t be… His eye’s grew wide in disbelief at the girl in his living room, the last person he wanted to see.
Hinata fucking Hyuga. Just thinking about the girl he once knew brought pain to him, the one that got away. Or maybe he was the one who got away in this situation. The load mouth Menma fangirl had always been the one he couldn’t tame, spending most of his teenage years lusting after body that couldn’t quit. Countless times he imagined tangling his long, pale finger in her beautiful hair; kissing her beautiful plump lips. Now her she was, well a women who looked exactly like her, with a damn stutter. If he wasn’t so depressed he would have bursted with laughter at the situation.
“I’m… fine. How are you?” He said while turning away from the girl he couldn’t stomach looking at. Walking over to the couch, he slumped down, finally glad to get some rest again. Keeping his face from the girl, to hide his ever growing blush, the raven began to speak. “You can make something if you want, as far as I know Hina can’t cook so you are probably a chef.” Sasuke brought his hands to his temples, trying to grasp hold of his predicament. possibly the worse on he could imagine. If it had been any other time, he would be filed with joy at the Hyuga being in his house. It was certainly something he would have loved to take advantage of.
Sadly, it wasn’t any other time, so all he did was grunt, “If you don’t want to we could watch T.V. or something.”
averbisadxverbera: She rubbed the back of her neck, “I’m— I’m f-fine, I guess…” she replied, watching the guy as he turned away. Good… the stutter is going away…, she thought, placing a pale fingertip over her bottom lip. “Is something… wrong?” The bluenette asked through a mutter, furrowing her eyebrows a little at him. She would normally have (shyly) reached to place a hand on his shoulder or stroke his hair but he didn’t seem to be very comfortable enough, nor she was.
“Oh,” Hinata chuckled. “I’m definitely n-not a chef, but I have to admit I’m quite g-good at it…” the girl added while leaving the bag she was holding with some belongings on an armchair next to her. The Hyuga couldn’t help but wonder what was going on on the raven’s mind, staring blankly at him before shaking her head as she turned back to reality, blushing with the thought that she might have been 5 minutes or so, just standing there and gazing fixedly at the guy.
Another thing she couldn’t help wondering was if “she” was his friend. By the way he talked about her previously, even calling her as ‘Hina’, she assumed that they might had had some kind of… well, bond. But it wasn’t exactly withher; it was with another her, that she honestly kept some fear to know.
It was not her right to decide, but however, the guy didn’t seemed to be up to anything now. Hinata could notice that his black orbs had a glint of sadness, somehow they looked tired, and she would hate to make him strive himself if he didn’t really want to. “So you pr-prefer to wait ‘til you’re hungry?…” She paused, answering instead of letting him, “Well, then, um, I th-think I’ll prepare s-some tea.” The pale-skinned teenager turned on her toes but when she was about to walk, she instantly stopped. Sighing, she asked quietly, looking over her shoulder, “Wh-Where’s the kitchen?—” putting a fingertip over her cheek, the girl stood there, waiting for an answer.
uchihapet: This fucking sucks. All that was flooding through his mind was the memories of his old friend; his Hinata. He longed for her to yell at him, fly him across the room in one swift punch. Wondering through the possibilities of what could have been, his heart sunk further into despair. Now he doubted he would ever hear her sweet voice again, his life would be plagued with this doppelganger imitating the real indigo beauty. Sasuke felt doomed, like he would be locked in a cage never finding a real place in this world again.
“No… I’m fine,” he grunted at the girl. Being rude wasn’t something he wanted, but he could barely mange to force words out. Her sweet laughter filled his ears as she denied being a chef. The chuckle was much sweeter then his Hyuga had ever made in his presence, it was questionable whether the other girl ever chuckled in his presence. This Hina, this Hinata, brought up a curiosity in him. Most women of this universe seemed brash, hotheaded, which was quite different then his own world; more women were sweet and delicate. He loved that about Hina, that she was different, she was herself. This girl seemed to share the similarity, different then the girls of this village. A sweet stutter that set her appart.
He flung his head back, looking at her as she spoke. The way the girl held herself, how her luscious lips moved as she stuttered, were all new to him; unsure of whether he liked it. The raven was uncertain if he was going to accept any of this world, even if the girls were just as pretty. A small smirk almost rose from the corners of his mouth as he thought of accepting the teenager. There was plenty of things he wouldn’t mind doing if she was going to be around for two weeks. Trying to push away the thought, he mumbled, “Tea is good.”
Slinging his head back forward, he cocked his head back to the girl as she spoke. A sad chuckle bellowed out as she spoke. Of course she didn’t know where the kitchen was, this girl might as well be a stranger. His thoughts crashing back to reality, a glint of overwhelming anguish flash through the onyx orbs. “Yeah… sorry,” he muttered, “I forgot, Hina usually helps herself to the fridge.”
Using his arms to help himself up, he let out a huge sigh as the pain shot through him. Sasuke staggered over the the petite girl, slightly tapping her shoulder and pointing towards the hall. “It’s just down here,” he said. Swooping his hand down by his side, he desperately wanted to hold the beauty’s long, slender fingers. It wasn’t he felt a particular attachment to her, in fact, he felt a detachment from this place as whole; including the inhabitants. The pale boy simply long for a women’s touch once again, something he took for granted back home. It had never been above him to use a women before.
Lightly grazing her hand with his, he began to walk towards the kitchen; hoping she would follow. His muscled ached with each step, but was once again blessed with the pleasure of being lazy as he reached the room. Sitting down at the table, a large sigh of relief escaped his lip. “I don’t know where the tea is, or the kettle, this isn’t my house.” As the words left his mouth, his mind started to wonder. Calling out to light eyed girl, he asked, “Did you know him? Sasuke, I mean. What is he like?”
averbisadxverbera: And there she was, analyzing him, her eyes fixed at the raven-haired guy and her eyebrows lightly furrowed. She noticed the smirk that crossed his lips while he gazed at her, what just made her frown deepen and her cheeks turn light red. The girl shyly and slowly nodded at his statement with a little smile playing on her dry lips. Her eyes quickly locked with his when he stood up, but she avoided it in time before another tint of red reached her face.
She gulped when he tapped her shoulder, the heiress’ lavender orbs addressed to where the guy was pointing. Once he became to walk, Hinata followed him with hesitating steps. There, being left thinking with her buttons, the girl pressed each of her lips against each other before turning her head to Sasuke, “Th-That— That Hina girl… sh-she, me,” she shrugged, “or wh-whatever… you seem to miss her, don’t you?” Hinata asked kindly with her usual soft tone while she passed through the kitchen’s door. “Were you guys— friends—?”, the bluenette added, just as hesitatingly as before while leaning her back on the counter. She noticed it by the way he talked that Hina was definitely not just one more girl in his life. But then again, she could feel the regret of asking that hit her.
Hinata looked up to him, her fingers gripping slightly on the counter’s border. “Oh— No worries, I c-can find them myself…”
She turned herself to the cabinets above the counter and start opening them, getting on her toes to see better inside them. “Ah, Sasuke-kun…”, the girl chuckled. “Every Konoha girl daydreamed about him.” The milky-eyed girl looked over her shoulder. “Well, I c-can admit I did too, but it was just once,” she stated, knowing it was a lie but attempting not to show it, while her hand scanned the cabinet to hopefully find the kettle. Her hands felt it, grabbing the kettle firmly and placing it over the counter. “Here it is. Now I just h-have to find th—” She was cut off by him.
The heiress slowly turned to him, a sad smirk on her face. “He is like…” she shook her head slowly to herself, looking away. She bit her tongue, trying to find the right thing to say. “Well… I c-can’t say much since I h-haven’t— talked to him that much,” the indigo-haired kunoichi sighed. “In fact, I think that even Naruto-kun has his doubts about Sasuke… because he was an enigma. Always s-so mysterious and blunt, always hiding his emotions from others, hiding himself… But he was a great ninja, and I bet that if he was a great p-person behind it all,” she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, her hand brushing lightly on her now burning cheek.
uchihapet:When the girl asked about Hina, is mind when into the corners of every memory he could fathom about the girl. Since he got here, of course, everyone asked about their own counterpart, but none of them were the girl of his dreams. It was difficult for him to find the words for his princesses, when he had been shot into this word, he wasn’t sure of them himself. The raven was certain he liked the girl- maybe loved- but beyond understanding his feelings, Sasuke was clueless. When he thought of anything long term with Hina, his mind became blank. The teenager had always imagined marrying someone like his mother, someone soft and sweet. His Hyuga certainly wasn’t the type, but she was always so elusive it enthralled him.
: Glancing back over to the girl fumbling through the strange kitchen, the onyx orbs carefully studied her movements; particularly how her ass looked at she reached for something on the shelve. While he thought the round bottom would have looked much better in Hina’s shorts, it certainly wasn’t a sight to miss. He was reluctant to admit it to himself, but he found the indigo haired girl quite cute. Certainly, she wasn’t as much of a sight as Hina, but she held mannerisms that reminded him of his late mother; one’s that made a bratty girl a beautiful women. At the thought of his mother, he sunk back into the dispar his mind had wondered from. Resting is head face down on to the table, he began to mumble an answer to her early question. “Hina, eh? I guess you could say I miss her,” as he spoke he turned his head to peak out at the girl through cracks of open space between the table and his arms. “-but, we weren’t really friends, I think she hated me. I hung around her often enough though, and we were friends as children…” Flinging his body back up, the raven rested his head on the back of the chair, the dark eyes studying the ceiling. He let out a heavy sigh, deciding not to finish his sentence. No one in this universe truly knew him, so they were preticuarly easy to talk to about his-world problems, but he didn’t want to make Hinata uncomfortable.
Shutting his eyes tightly, he tried to imagine the Sasuke she was describing. The man seemed so far away from him. He felt as if he had so many questions no one could answer. If he had lived in this world, would he have been doomed to the same life of a rouge shinobi? Up until that infamous day, was that man the same little boy he was? A frown dawned on his face as the light eyed women continued to speak, it didn’t seem like she knew the answer to his thoughts. But the frown quickly disappeared at certain phrase the girl chuckled out, holding on to it until she finished.
Every girl, including you, eh? The tips of his lips twitched upwards, forming a smile at the thought. Standing up from his seat, he tried to ignore the pain running through his bones as he limped over to Hinata. Rustling through a spare drawer, he found the small brown container he had bought a few days after his arrival. His long pale fingers grasped the box and place it down next to the steaming kettle, shifting the onyx orbs over to her. “Including you? If you want to work out the fantasies, you know where I live,” he said in a slightly joking matter. In the past, he would have said such things seriously, but it felt like his once roaring fire for love had left.
Walking over back to the table, before he sat down he muttered, “That’s cinnamon tea, it’s Hina’s favorite, I thought it might also be yours.”
averbisadxverbera: Her lilac eyes looked at Sasuke while he spoke, her ears concentrated on listening to his deep, tired voice carefully. She slowly nodded when he finished talking, as if so that her mind could process the affirmations. “Hina, eh? I guess you could say I miss her,” A grin was playing the corner of her white lips. By the tone of his voice, what she could really say was that this ‘Hina’ was more than just a friend for him on his part. It wasn’t any hard for Hinata to notice other’s emotions; she was always very observant and always heard people with attention when they wanted to talk, so she wouldn’t miss anything. She chuckled, “Mhm. They say that when a person demonstrates hate for another, then it just means that— that they wanna hide how much they really care about you,” she turned herself to the counter and looked at the ceiling, biting her lip as she tried to think where the tea would be.
When the Hyuga girl turned to her left again, her eyes widen and she caught her breath. Sasuke was right in front of her, a distance that could be compared to inches between them. Her almond grey eyes blinked a few times at his statement as she cleared her throat, a carmine tone added to her cheeks. She felt like the word regret was written all over her face with neon pink for saying what she said early—that she daydreamed about him. Technically, it wasn’t him, because he and ‘her’ Sasuke were two of a completely different kind, but still. She just admitted it to his other half. Besides, it was a lie because it was not just once, unless she meant to say ‘once a week’.
Hinata looked to the container to avoid his eyes, pressing her lips together. No words left her mouth; she preferred to leave it shut instead of saying something wrong.
“That’s cinnamon tea, it’s Hina’s favorite, I thought it might also be yours.”
She nodded, smiling as her fingers reached to open the cointainer, “In-Indeed. It is.” The bluenette lifted the vessel closer to her nose to smell the cinnamons—it was divided into sticks and teabags—, inhaling slowly and letting a sigh of joy fill the air, her eyes closed. She loved almost everything that have cinnamon. After a while, she put water in the kettle to boil and found a teapot in the same cabinet that she withdrew the kettle.
Minutes passed and she added some cinnamon sticks to the teapot and poured the water on it before adding a teabag. “Do you want me to s-sweeten it or you like the taste how it is?”, the heiress asked as she crossed the kitchen to pick the cups, located on a pane of glass.
uchihapet: Walking away, Hinata answer caught his ear; causing a playful smirk on his lips. Maybe they weren’t that different? Sasuke wasn’t confident if that was something he wanted or not. While the girl from his past was someone he surely missed- a new girl was very alluring. He wasn’t sure what it was about her, maybe it was clear the pale teenager held a lot of pain. Agony was never something the raven would have associated himself with until recently. Maybe he had always held a lot of it, maybe he was more like his counterpart then he would admit to. Until recently it was always something he simply shrugged off, girls were very helpful with that.
Resting his body in the wooden chair, he let out a groan was she made the tea. Sasuke flung his head back, staring at the ceiling once again. This seemed to become a habit of his recently, no knowing what to say. How to smooth over a situation; something that had come flawlessly to him in the past. The Uchiha’s old personality tugging at the deepest corner of his heart, yet it was over shadowed by this new world. Onyx eyes flicked to the women in his kitchen, and he began to wonder if she could be his first conquest of this world.
It was no secret he was a womanizer back home, in fact, it could be the only thing he was known for. No one here knowing that made it a lot easier for him. Slumping his head onto the table, we wanted to wail. Everything was so confusing now, he wanted a simple life again. Should he womanize? Could he even do that under the circumstances? The thought sent a worrying shock through his body. Not having sex sounded like a very tremendous experience. After all, with his counterpart out being- a huge dick, he thought with a smirk; Sasuke was left to restore the clan.
The sweet sound of Hinata’s stutter drug him out of his depressing musing; causing him to lift his head and look up at the girl. Furrowing his brows, Sasuke wasn’t sure how to answer the question. The jonin did prefer his tea with milk, but had always taken it plain to seem more ‘manly’; Itachi took his plain. Raising his pale hands to his head, the slender fingers scratched his scalp, unsure of how to answer. “…with milk.”
If he was going to be here, he didn’t have to live up to those expectations. He could be a new man, a better man.
“Should I call you Hina, or Hinata?”
averbisadxverbera: Hinata carefully poured the tea in each of the two cups. She didn’t sweeten her tea; she always liked it ‘pure’, how it is. With no changes.
Well, it was how she liked almost everything.
Despite liking things that way, Hinata didn’t quite knew if she maintained this statement faithfully lately. Neji’s death was still smashing, squelching her heart; it was also filled to the brim with guilt. She had changed. Her smile was not the same and that day occupied her mind at night, bringing her to fall into those nightmares that you think will get real.
She knew that Sasuke might feel this way too; that agony, I mean. Knowing that his parents and brother are now. . gone, when on his world, he lived peacefully with them. It may be frustrating and disturbing at the same time.
Maybe just once someone could understand her pain, she thought. Especially when this someoneshares the almost same kind of pain.
Again, his voice brought her outta her thoughts. She nodded, sighing once before she pulled the milk gallon out of the fridge and poured it carefully on his cup. Putting it on the fridge again, the bluenette placed a cup in front of him, smiling warmly, and sat in a chair across the table, which wasn’t too large itself.
Hinata’s hands were enveloped around the warm cup, and she slowly lifted it towards her mouth, taking a sip before shrugging with plainness, “O-Oh,” a giggle slipped from between her pale lips. “Either is fine…” she paused, placing the cup over the table again. Resting her elbow on the table and her cheek on her respective hand, she asked, “Which one you like the most?” Her forefinger trailed the cup’s border nonchalantly while she glanced at him waiting for an answer, her lips still curled in a kind smile.
