“Another?” Aversa joked playfully. “I don’t know what kind of girl you take me for, miss! Perhaps if you asked nicely…!~”
At hearing that this cute, innocent looking cutie wanted to know more about her, Aversa just smiled sadly and shook her head. “I’m not sure if you’d really feel that way if you knew more about me, darling… I’ve done some pretty unforgivable things over my lifetime…”
A sad sigh. She patted Setsuna’s hand softly. “But that’s very kind of you to say, sweetie. I’d like to know more about you, though! Especially about where you got those impressive skills with your bow!” She laughed a little. “I would have hated to meet you on the battlefield! Float a butterfly, sting like a nest full of angry hornets, hmm?”
“I took you for someone who’s company was nice.” She answered near immediately. “Even if you were kind of intimidating and scary at first. But that might’ve been mostly cause by the knife.” It was probably mostly the very large and scary knife. The thought train got back on track easily enough though. “I always ask nicely.”
Her smile did diminish some when Aversa avoiding talking about herself. It was a shame. She wasn’t sure what the woman could have possibly done to want to keep her entire life private, but Setsuna supposed it would not be fair to push. Not this early on anyways. And it wasn’t like she wasn’t used to people close to her saying things along those lines anyways. She shrugged it off.
“Ah.” She smiled again, taking a sip from the wine that had been brought over while they waited for their meal. “I’ve trained with the bow as long as I can remember...my sister was learning first...she wasn’t very good at it though. She was always the one better for social things and such. I was good at it though. My parents let me keep doing it. And then Lady Hinoka picked me for it, so I never stopped doing it.”
