~ Hiking with @avery-song​ ~

The events at the ball put a lot of stress onto Jake. It brought back old memories that he didn’t necessarily want to think about ever again. In an attempt to help clear his mind he threw himself into his work. Except, it wasn’t enough. He needed to be back in his happy place, surrounded by trees and the sound of birds chirping. He was thrilled when Avery agreed to go on a hike with him and Dwight because it was exactly what he needed. When they got to the start of the trail he looked at her with a smile. “Ready to go?”

~ Cooking with @avery-song​ ~ 

It had been awhile since he had seen Avery which was why he decided to invite her over for dinner. There were a lot of things on his mind and he truly needed a friend to talk to. “Dinner will be ready in five minutes, I’m just putting the finishing touches on it.” He spoke up as he watched her play with Dwight. “I think he missed you more than I did.” He said with a laugh, watching as his dog was wagging his tail and jumping on his favourite vet.

Where: Asteria Fireman’s Ball

The Fireman’s Ball made it seem as if Jake had moved to Asteria during a perfect time of the year. There was no better way to meet new people than at an event where everyone in town was most likely attending. It allowed him to meet new people, but also run into familiar faces that he had already seen throughout town. One of those faces happened to be sitting at the table next to him and Jake quickly went over to sit down next to the veterinarian. “Dr. Song.” He approached in a soft tone of voice. “Do you think it would break some kind of patient and doctor relationship if I asked you to dance?” He asked as his green hues met hers and his lips curled up into a charming grin.

~ A trip to the vet with @avery-song​ ~

There were three things in Jake’s life that he loved more than almost anything in the world. The outdoors, sharks, and his dog Dwight. The one year old black lab mix had been his best friend since the second he rescued him in Mexico. He could still remember seeing the defenseless, starving puppy wandering the streets and the sight tugged at his heart strings. Without any doubt in his mind, he knew that he needed to save this puppy and give it a life that a dog deserved. 

Now that Jake had moved to Asteria he wanted to set up an appointment with the vet to get a checkup on his young pup. The two had been escorted into one of the rooms while they waited for the veterinarian. He was trying to keep Dwight entertained by playing keep away with a rolled up magazine that he found on the counter. That playtime stopped as soon as he heard the sound of the door creaking open. He quickly threw the magazine back onto the counter and offered the vet a smile as she walked through the door. “You must be Dr. Song?”
