Avid Studio on Windows 8.1 Error:
PROBLEM:
Avid Studio 1.0 won't install or start using Windows 8.1
Error:
The Operating System has been upgraded after Avid Studio has been installed. Some or all of the program's features may not operate correctly. We recommend that you re-install the software.
SOLUTION
Just replace the value of the registry key VersionNT stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/ Wow6432Node/Avid/Studio 1. Change value to 602 from 603 if VersionNT key is present.
Tip: Change this setting before installing Avid Studio to prevent the error during the installation process.
STEPS:
Open REGEDIT.
Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Select Software
Select Wow643node (create if missing)
Select Avid (create if missing)
Select Studio 1 (create if missing)
Edit VersionNT=602
IF 'VersionNT' is missing, create it.
